"As flowers bloom,
So does my heart.
As the rain falls so gently,
That is how my love is for you.
The day of our marriage.
The day I finally say 'I do'."

Rey's POV

That evening, after we were married in a small garden-like place that was located close to the small town, we stayed in a modest inn.

It was nothing too high-class. I imagined this would've been a place I would have probably lived in if my parents were still alive.

A simple life I could have had, away from all the luxuries of the castle I had grew up in instead.

I sighed.

"Are you alright Rey? Ever since we arrived you've seemed very uncomfortable. Is it the town? Or maybe something I did?"

We sat beside each other by the window.

I took his hand in mine.

"You did nothing wrong. But...yes, I have been a bit uneasy. I find that there may be something going on. It's been too quite. My grandfather...he should of done something by now. Knowing how eager he is based off others...it's just very unsettling...all of it."

His hand went to my face, I relaxed my face as I leaned into it.

"But thank you Ben. You really know how to calm me down from all of this...So much has happened. I really don't know if I'll be able to endure through all of this."

This feeling of despair came upon me.

I started to doubt if I'd even make it out alive.

And I was truly afraid that we would be separated.

"I wish not that we part in any way Ben."

"You're strong, that I know Rey. And one thing you must try not to do...is act so powerless in front of me. In front of anyone for that matter. You're a fighter, you can do anything you put your mind to. Never fail to remember that my dear Rey. And I know, we will never part. Even if we do...we'll always find a way to be together once more."

I nodded.

"Yes. I will try my upmost best."

As we sat by the window of our small room snow fell like rain.

After a few minutes a blizzard began.

Later shouts were heard.

Fear ran upon me once more.

I clenched to Ben's black tunic.

"We have to go." I spoke.

Although I felt completely opposite about going.

"We have to fight." I spoke again.

He placed his hand on mine.

"Yes. And I will be by your side. Always."

He gave a soft smile before touching my face.

He wiped a stray tear from my face.

"I will help teach you how to fight."

"N-now?"

"Yes. Just follow my lead." He said as he tossed me a sword.

"Where did you?-"

"As we headed here some old man handed me this as a wedding present to you. Apparently he forged it with his own hands, waiting for the day to give it to someone like you."

"Someone like me?"

"Maybe he saw the same courage and force that I see in you."

I couldn't say anything.

What was there to say?

Supposedly, I was strong and courageous...even though I felt not an ounce in me.

But if what Ben said and believes is to be true...I trust him...and I'll do my best.

"Now we must go Rey, it's better to find them before they find us."

We both grabbed our cloaks bought at the town's local shop when we had first arrived.

Just then I noticed Ben limping.

I stopped him with my hand in front of his chest.

"Ben. Your wound from the fight. Why didn't you tell me."

I had forgotten all about his leg injury from the arrow.

"It's almost healed. Don't worry."

"Worry? I'm beyond worried. Not even worried, more like concerned and terrified of what will-!"

His lips connected to mine abruptly. I almost dropped my sword from my hand.

I blushed a thousand reds.

But I didn't fight it.

His actions were honest, pure and even kind.

When he let go I couldn't even look his way.

My thoughts were fried.

"No need to worry anymore. If I've got enough energy to kiss you, I have enough energy to fight for you."

Could he really say something so bold? It was almost unlike him.

"You-uh.You- kissed...you...me."

"Ha. You're really that shocked? We are married you know." His hand placed on the side of my face as I turned away.

"Ugh, but you..." It was so unexpected. I could not cease my blushing, even if I wished to.

And it did not help that my heart was fluttering like a butterfly right now.

He then moved in for a small embrace.

This time I dropped my sword...on accident.

It came in contact with Ben's foot.

I winced for him. As light as the sword was...it still looked like it hurt.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to!" He only smiled.

"It's alright." He picked it up for me as I settled the strap of the sword's sheath on my shoulder.

The sword was now neatly put away and hidden by my cloak.

"Shall we go now. They are nearly here Ben."

Just when I had spoken the door was being slammed on.

"I'll get who comes through the door, you-"

"Fight with you."

He hesitated for a moment but eventually nodded in agreement.

"Of course. Draw your sword and be on your guard."
