"morning sunshine,"
george winked at you as you collected yourself in the common room.
"good morning,"
you spoke rather groggily.
you were never one for mornings.

the twins were bouncing in their seats,
riled up with anticipation.
"quidditch-"
fred spoke dreamily,
"what a wonderful game,"
george finished in the same tone.
you shook your head with a smile and took a seat.
"i suppose i should find luna for the face painting, huh?"
"yes, of course. you'll have 5 on this cheek,"
fred pointed his index finger onto your left cheekbone,
"and 6 on this cheek,"
george pointed to your right cheekbone.
you threw your head back in laughter,
before taking notice of their serious faces.
"oh..oh you're serious?"
"so very serious."
they spoke simultaneously.
"i-i don't think so."
"well why not?"
"that's just not my thing."
"you hear that, george?"
"i heard it, fred."
"supporting her friends isn't her thing."
you nudged fred's shoulder.
"not true. just a bit corny, don't you think?"
"tell us how you really feel, why don't you?"
george scoffed.
you began to feel a bit flustered and guilty,
"n-no it's not like that at all. it's just-"
"relax love,"
fred grinned,
taking notice of your worried tone.
"yeah we're only messing,"
george agreed.
you felt the tension weigh off your shoulders at their reassuring words.
"don't you two have classes to attend?"
"we could ask you the same thing,"
their voices chorused.
"i've got care of magical creatures. you two have got..."
"charms."
"yes! that, exactly."
you stepped out of the portrait and began to make your way,
the twins not far behind.
you turned on your feet just before disappearing out of their sight,
and waved.
"i'll walk you two down to the quidditch field, yeah?"
the boys nodded their head,
and turned to find their charms class.

fred smiled eagerly at the thought of quidditch and the thought of hearing a familiar voice in the crowd,
cheering him on.
"whats got you so happy?"
george asked his brother.
"it's nice, isn't it? to have someone other than our siblings and lee to cheer us on?"
"i suppose,"
george answered with a skeptical look on his face,
entering their charms class.

"good luck today,"
you smiled at harry and patted his shoulder as you joined the rest of your class in the forest for your magical creatures lesson.
"on-on what?"
he questioned,
looking around to see his friends as equally as confused as him.
"on your quidditch game, of course!"
"y/n, since when did you start caring for quidditch?"
ron asked.
"oh no, i still don't care. but i figured i'd come today-"
"because of fred and george, isn't it?"
hermione smiled brightly.
"well yeah. i mean, it'd be rude of me not to. considering how nice and welcoming they've been recently."
"well...we've always made you feel welcomed, right?"
harry asked you,
a bit of guilt rising in his expression.
"oh! definitely! of course, it's just..like the twins and i are-"
"on the same wavelength?"
everyone, including you, spoke together.
"yeah! how'd you know?"
you laughed.
"they said the exact same thing."
***
you did as promised and waited for the twins by the field,
seeing them come around the corner.
"there she is!"
the boys beamed at you.
you walked between them and put an arm around each of their shoulders,
"you're gonna do great!"
you smiled.
fred took notice of the black paint on your cheeks and jumped excitedly,
"merlins beard! look george, she's wearing our numbers."
george and fred examined your cheeks and seemed to smile even brighter,
if possible.
"nose down!"
you giggled and stopped just before they entered the ring.
"don't bother returning unless you bring us a win!"
you smiled,
the boys giving you a thumbs up as they huddled around their teammates.
you turned on your feet and began to walk towards the stands,
the adrenaline coursing through your veins.
once you found hermione and ron,
you watched as the kid's slowly appeared in the air.
"face paint too?! who are you and what have you done with y/n l/n?"
ron asked with a laugh to his tone.
you laughed along with him and shook your head,
"just showing some support is all!"
"you've attended hogwarts for years and i don't think i've seen you come to one quidditch match."
"well, here i am."
"here you are,"
hermione smiled at you,
everyone's attention turning to the game as it began.
