Destiny's POV:

Destiny curled the knife between her fingers. She wouldn't have to kill anyone. She could just threaten them and run. She breathed in.

"Just let me go and nobody gets hurt," she snarled. She backed away, lifting her knife. She wished it was bigger. It was just a little pocked knife. And that boy with the white hair looked like he could knock her out with that big staff.

Maybe she could just throw the knife. But, no that could kill someone. She just wanted to get away. Suddenly her finger tips felt cool as the boy with white hair walked forward. Suddenly her feet were stuck in place. Destiny couldn't move!

She looked at her feet and gasped in horror. They were stuck in a solid block of ice. Maybe she would have to get... stabby. The coolness on her fingers turned into a deeper cold. Frost crawled over them and she dropped her knife.

Crap. Now she was defenseless. Her teeth began to chatter. What the heck was happening? She collapsed on the ground and the ice around her feet shattered. She clambered away and tried to grab the knife.

Nightshade's POV:

Kit came out of the portal extremely close to a bookshelf. She flinched, a few meters to the side and she would have been stuck in the wall.

"Just let me go and nobody gets hurt," a girl a few meters in front of her snarled. The girl backed away a little, lifting her knife. Kit looked around the bookshelf to see who the girl was snarling at.

Several girls around her age, a boy, and Mother Goose. After a short argument with her self Kit decided to stay hidden and observe the situtation.

Tigerlily's POV:

The girl dropped her knife as ice crawled through her skin. Tigerlily's eyes furrowed at this sight.

"Jack," she said softly. He looked in her direction, surprised.

"I'll handle this," she said, brushing past him and over to the girl who had fallen to the ground, trying to reach her knife.

Tigerlily crouched in front of the knife and grabbed it. The girl's eyes widened in fear. To the girl Tigerlily looked dangerous, especially with that serious look on her face.

"You don't need this," she told her softly, taking out a book. She opened it and set the knife down on the pages, letting the knife sink into the world of the book, and hopefully landing on a dining table.

"What do you want with me?" The girl asked, shaking.

Tigerlily only held out her hand, hoping the girl could take it. "I want to know your name, and why you're scared."

Everyone watched dumbfounded, Tigerlily didn't show any fear. Not a single bit. She only showed sympathy.

"Destiny," she replied, ignoring the second question.

Nodding, Tigerlily stood up and walked to Jack. Giving him an, 'it's okay' look.

"You sure?" He asked, worry in his tone. Tigerlily only gave him a blank look.

"Let me ask you this Jack. If she was dangerous, then why would she be here?"

She brushed past him and the girls, and left the room.

Ember's POV:

I have to admit, I was a bit jealous when Jack and Tigerlily talked with such trust. After all he is MY boyfriend. It kinda made me mad, and the air around us started to heat up.

Jack seemed to notice because he looked to me, concern in his eyes. He walked up to me.

"Hey, it's OK. She and I are just friends, I love YOU." he said gently. I gave a small smile. He gave me a big smile and kissed my forehead.

I smiled then turned my attention back to Destiny. I walked over. "Hey, it's OK." I said. I looked at the sack, then realized what happened.

"Oh, don't worry. Jack was thrown into a sack when he'd first met the Guardians. They didn't mean any harm by it," I told her. She stayed silent. I sighed and walked back over to Jack.

He hugged me from behind and kissed my cheek before resting his head on my shoulder.

Destiny's POV:

"Ah Jack, so you were thrown in a sack too," Destiny said, making no eye contact and picking at a scar on her arm.

"At least we have one thing in common," she said before muttering, "Ice monster" under her breath.

She took in her surroundings, looking at the people all chatting. She felt semi-awkward. She didn't mind starting a conversation, but with all of these new people... She sat on a bench and decided to just observe.

They obviously were not going to let her go. They seemed nice enough. She began to daydream.

She is playing by a creek with other wolves. She is full. She is happy. They all bark happily wrestling with each other on the sandbank.

Suddenly the birds stop singing and the darkness creeps over the woods followed by a laugh. Destiny whimpers in terror and so do her pack mates. She can't see anything. It's pitch black.... pitch black.

Destiny shook her head. This is weird. Nothing bad ever happens when she daydreams. And if something does she is the hero and saves the world. And the phrase pitch black doesn't sound right. Gosh, things were so confusing.

Tigerlily's POV:

Tigerlily couldn't help but notice Destiny seemed confused, and worried. Closing the book she had she stood up and sat back down next to her.

"Are you okay?" She asked in her kindest voice.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine I, I was just thinking," She muttered. Then she sighed in defeat. "Tigerlily, can I ask you something?" She asked in her quietest voice.

"Anything." She said, scooting over.

"Why were you so nice to me when I was armed? When no one else did. You acted just like a mom," she said, staring at the floor.

A smile grew from Tigerlily's lips. Doing it quickly, she rummaged through her bag and took out The Land Of Stories: The Enchantress Returns.

"The loneliest people are the kindest. The saddest people smile the brightest. And the most damadged people are the strongest," She said, standing up.

Destiny was confused, "Which one are you?"

Tigerlily bit her lip, and then spoke. "All three. Try reading, it'll make you feel better."

Tigerlily left to find a Library, hoping she had left her mark.

Ember's POV:

I noticed Destiny's uncomfortable look and was about to walk over. Tigerlily beat me to the punch. I still was a bit on edge after Jack had told me that he and her were only friends because I'm paranoid, so that didn't help.

I waited till they were done talking and then walked over. "Hey, look. Sorry about my boyfriend. He's pretty protective, well I mean that's his job but, it can be intimidating," I said. She rolled her eyes. I tried not to let that bug me.

"So, why were you so uncomfortable a few minutes ago? You kinda seemed on edge," I asked as casually as I could. She tensed up.

"I-I don't know what you m-mean." She mumbled. She got up and got out of there so quickly that you would have guessed that the room was on fire.

Lili/C's POV:

I stood silently watching the scene unfold from the shadows. I noticed another girl arrive, but no one else saw her.

I began to feel a bit bad about not doing anything, especially when Destiny left the room, nervous.

I slowly followed her by way of shadows. I wanted to try to help her out somehow, so I was just gonna follow her and see if she needed help.
