Nightshade ended the last note in her book as the bell rang out.
After she had packed all of her books and closed her bag, she began to walk to the exit of the school.
Nightshade really enjoyed these walks. In her gray hoodie and black ripped jeans people had always avoided her. The avoiding had through the years developed and now people didn't notice her unless she talked directly to them.
Perhaps that sounds lonely, but Nightshade thought it was one of the best things that ever had happened to her. When people didn't notice her, she could sneak up everywhere. She could stand behind people with out them noticing her and listen to there conversations for hours. Not that she often listened for hours, but a few minutes listening here and there and she soon knew every secret and every rumor in the entire school.
That of course had stopped all the populars from bullying Nightshade.
"Hey richy!!"
"Whats up!!"
"Go away!!"
The many calls made Nightshade turn on her heel. Just behind her stood a little boy and about four bigger kids.
"Got any money for us??" Asked the biggest kid. Nightshade growled. She hated bullies. Very much. She fixed her mobile up from her pocket and took a picture making sure that you could see there faces.
"Leave him alone," Nightshade said with a surprising amount of authority in her voice. The bullies turned around and surrounded her insteed of the young boy.
"Get lost freak!!" The biggest said. The other laughed and complimented the big kid.
"Ass-kissers..." Thought Nightshade.
"Fine. Then I will just go up to the headmaster and show him this lovely pictures..." Nightshade said as she showed them the picture she had taken on her phone. She almost laugthed by the look of there faces. They looked like a compination of a troll and someone there just had been smacked in the face.
"Hand over that phone." Growled the biggest.
"How about... No?" Nightshade answered before she took off running for an exit door. Behind her she could hear the bullies running after her knocking over several kids that stood in their way. Nightshade swiftly jumped around any obstacle she came across.
As they made it through the chaos of kids an exit sign popped up near Nightshade. She immediately ran for the door, through it and out into an allyway. But to her bad luck it was a dead end and she ran the wrong way, towards the wall. The bullies were too close to her to give her time to make it in the other direction.
"Well... How about you hand over your phone and we only beat you a little??" Said the biggest. Nightshade putted her phone in her backbag and took one desperate look at the wall behind her before she turned full front to the four bullies.
"I guess we will have to take it then..." The biggest said with an evil grin. They all attacked Nightshade and she realized she didn't have a chance so she simply closed her eyes and waited for impact.
But when she did so a strange calmness fell over her and with that calmness came a shock. Not a panic shock, but an electric one. She felt like she was being struck by a lightning. It wasn't painfull... It was just.. So much energy!
Nightshade had to let out the energy!!!
As soon as she thought about letting it out the energy broke lose. But it didn't just go away. No, no...
The energy went in front of her and formed a wall.
Of course all of this happened in a few seconds, but to her it felt like minutes.
