(Time skip to after the usj attack)

"Sports festival? Didn't we like just get attacked? Shouldn't we wait a bit for a sports festival?" Kaminari worried.

"This festival would be a chance to show our strength." Kirishima reasoned.

"And a chance to show that we're able to bounce back." I pitched in.

Katsuki nodded. "Sapphire's right. This is a chance to prove ourselves to be heroes."

Everyone agreed to that.

The bell rang and we all made our way to exit, only to be blocked by a wall of students.

In the process Katsuki talking about how he's gonna win.

People began mumbling amongst themselves, until one voice piped up and stood out.

Hitoshi Shinso.

"So this is class 1-A? I heard you guys were impressive, but you just sound like an ass. It's everyone in the hero course delusional or just you? How sad to come here and find a bunch of egomaniacs."

Katsuki goes to say something but I grab his arm. "Stand down Katsu." I hissed.

"Scouting the competition. Maybe some of my peers are. I tried to get into the hero course, but like many others I was forced to take a different path. Though with this festival we can steal your spot from right under neath you."

Neito Monoma from 1-B looked directly at me and smirked. "Hear that Knight? Someone better deserving of your spot will get it."

That set Katsuki off. He placed his hands over my ears and shouted at him. "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY TO HER YOU INCOMPETENT EXTRA!"

Monoma took a step back, clearly startled.

Katsuki wrapped an arm around my shoulders and pushed through the crowd. The rest of the Bakusquad following us.

"Don't listen to him Saph. You deserve to be in the hero course just as much as the rest of us." Katsuki spoke softly.

"Bakugo's right Saphie, you so totally deserve to be with us!" Mina cheered.

I smiled gently. "Thanks guys."

Time skip to the festival

I secured my hair into a pony tail just before the gate opened into the obstacle course.

I pushed my way through easily and took off sprinting.

When Todoroki froze the robots I just barely managed to slide underneath them and get by without a scratch.

I made it up to 'the fall' and jumped up, grabbing onto the ropes, and swung myself along the ropes and onto solid ground again.

"Would you look at that! Sapphire night is in the top two thanks to her quick thinking!" Yamada cheered.

I made it to the mine field unscathed and grabbed my pocket staff, opening it and vaulting as far as possible and repeating it twice more until I got over the stretch, landing in somersault and catching my feet and took off.

"Sapphire Knight has taken up third place alongside her fellow classmates Todoroki and Bakugo! Check out those moves!"

I retracted my staff and continued sprinting through the final stretch, just barely dodging the other bodies as I made it through the exit.

Someone ended up bumping into my left side rather hard, which sent me falling sideways and rolling onto my back.

Katsuki saw this and came to my side, holding his hand out to help me up.
