In the novel, there is a moment that doubles as both this and a Tearjerker. When Jennette blurts out calling Claude "Father", Claude is furious at this and rips her belief into pieces by telling her the Awful Truth of who her father really is, ending with him saying that Athanasia is his one and only daughter. The Heartwarming part? Hearing Claude declare that he loved his biological daughter in the face of everything that happened and what is shown of his original counterpart, in his own way, is very sweet in itself and brought many to cheer that our Athanasia has finally succeeded. The Tearjerker? This event is essentially Jennette's Break the Cutie moment.
