Alex's POV
My friends walked outside with me. "So, can you explain this recess thing to me, guys?" I asked.
"Wait, you don't know what recess is?" John asked.
"No," I responded, "we don't have recess in St. Kitts and Nevis."
"So, basically, you go outside and play for twenty minutes," John said.
"Oh, that sounds... fun!" Alex told them
"Yeah, that's because it is fun!" Herc said, running off yelling, "BRAHHHHHH"
"I think he's gonna run into something," I said.
"He always does," Laff said running off with him.
"You coming?" John asked.
"Uh... sure?" I said.
"What, are you scared?"
"No!" I said, taking off.
"Hey, wait up!" John said from behind.
AFTER THEY CATCH UP TO HERC AND LAFF BECAUSE I CAN'T WRITE TRANSITIONS
"Hey guys, have you read the school rules?" I asked them.
"You have?" Herc asked, "The rule book is like a hundred pages long."
"So? Anyway, these are some stupid rules." I told them, because they were stupid rules.
"Rule 12: Anyone who mentions food before lunch or after lunch will go to detention during lunch. This is rule twelve! And there are over eight hundred rules in this thing! Rule 37: If you have a phone at school they will throw it into a fire. Okay, but what. Why? And let's not forget the LGBTQ+ banning on Rule 137."
They were quiet for a second.
Then, they all started yelling over each other.
I like, seriously could not make out a single word.
Okay fine I could make out all the words.
Laff: John:
Comment est-ce légal? No!
Cela mérite un mauvais mot! Why?
C'est terrible! AAAH!
Nous sommes des rebelles maintenant! Did I hear you right?
Révolution! Revolution!Herc:
REVOLUTION!
REVOLUTION!
REVOLUTION!
REVOLUTION!
REVOLUTION!"Okay, so the general consensus is having a revolution?" I asked them.
"Obviously," said Herc.
"Okay then, an entire school versus four kids? Time to go drafting!"
We made a list of all the people in our grade and went to them asking if they want to join the war against the school.
"Hey, Eliza, Angelica! Do you guys want to join the war against the school?" John asked.
Eliza started asking, "Why is there a wa-"
"Yes." Angelica finished, "We will join the war."
"Sounds good!" I said, writing them down on a paper.
"Um... hi Maria, I was wondering if you would like to join a war against the school." I asked.
She looked around to make sure no one was looking at her, "Yes, but don't tell James. I can be a strategizer."
"Okay, we won't tell him," Herc said.
"Hey, Burr..."
"What do you want?" he asked, sounding annoyed.
"Well, there's a war against the school, and uh, you should join. The school has dumb rules."
"Say no more, I'm in!"
Well, that was easier than expected.
