HOPE COULDN'T CATCH A FREAKINGbreak. She had finally escaped from Malivore and now her day was being spent chasing after a monster when in reality she just wanted to see Natalie. Thoughts of Natalie were the only thing that really kept Hope going while she was in Malivore purgatory and now that she was back, she wanted to see her.
But Natalie was gonna have to wait until after Hope killed the monster that was running rampant in Mystic Falls High. She followed the bloodstains, only for them to stop in the janitor's closet. Hope gently shoved the door open to find it empty.
"Aren't you a little short to be a janitor?" she looked up to see a guy standing there, "It's nice to know that I'm not the only one trying to hide out on the first day of school."
Hope had forgotten that high school was a thing for a moment. Knowing that the building was going to be filled with people further complicated her job.
"I wasn't hiding, I was um I was looking for the principal's office," Hope lies.
"Well, you're in luck. I'm new too," he tells her, "But I'm pretty sure that's him right behind you."
"Hi," Hope hears a familiar voice greet. She turns and is surprised when she sees Alaric standing in front of her, "I'm Principal Saltzman. Who are you?"

"Breath in."
Natalie did just as Lizzie commanded, holding the position.
"Now out."
Josie walked in the room, a hint of amusement on her face as she looked at Lizzie and Natalie, "What are the two of you doing?"
"Centering our chakras," Natalie says as she takes a deep breath.
"Really?" Josie asks.
Natalie laughs shaking her head, "No, but Lizzie's helping me keep my mind clear. She's been really helpful."
"That's great," Josie says, "Even if Lizzie did once say yoga is for lazy people."
"I've changed my mind," Lizzie says, slowly exhaling, "This year I'm saying yes and trying new things."
Natalie breaks her pose as she makes her way over to Josie, "Are we still on for tonight?"
"Yeah," Josie tells her with a smile.
Lizzie breaks the pose as well, blue eyes dancing between Natalie and Josie, "What plans do the two of you have for tonight?"
"Dinner in Mystic Falls," Natalie answers, "We're also going to people watch."
"Natalie wants to see which cliques are forming at Mystic Falls High," Josie adds, giving Natalie a knowing look. The hybrid shrugs her shoulders in response.
