"I DON'T SEE WHY THIS IS NECESSARY."

Bonnie simply crosses her arms over her chest as she looks at her sister, iron bars separating the two of them. She wasn't sure why Victoria had miraculously risen from the dead, but she didn't plan on taking any chances. Especially not with the girls being in a fragile state.

"It's just a precaution," Bonnie said as she pulled a chair up to sit across from her sister, "I'll let you out after you tell me everything I need to know."

"I left everything you needed to know in my diaries," Victoria said, and Bonnie knew exactly what she was talking about. She had read the diaries over and over to grasp an understanding of who her sister was.

"No, you didn't," Bonnie answers, "Natalie's magic is beyond my comprehension. She stabbed herself with an ancient sword filled with dark magic and managed to survive. Hybrid or not, she should have died."

"I told you-"

"Genetic magic doesn't equate to an immunity to dark magic," Bonnie interrupts, "What did you do to her?"

"I didn't do anything," Victoria insists, "It was the ancestors."

Bonnie's eyebrow raises, "The ancestors?"

Victoria's gaze drops to the ground. Bonnie watches her sister nervously fidget with her hands and knows that Victoria was hiding something and whatever it was, she was ashamed of it.

"Everyone knew your name," Victoria says finally, her gaze still on the dirty floor of the cell, "The great Bonnie Bennett always saved the day. Part of me hated you."

"Why?" Bonnie asks, "I thought you hated being a witch?"

"I hated being a witch because I could never live up to your legacy or the legacy of the Bennett name. Sure, I was gifted at genetic magic and I managed to repress my husband's werewolf genes but that was nothing compared to you. You figured out how to create hybrids and you almost killed Klaus Mikaelson."

"What did the ancestors offer you?" Bonnie asks.

"A chance to be great," Victoria tells her, "A chance for my daughter to be the greatest Bennett that ever lived."

Bonnie had painted an image of Victoria in her head. She already knew that her sister was intelligent and gifted when it came to science and the supernatural alike. What she hadn't accounted for was Victoria's ego. She would have never thought that her sister wanted to go down in history and she never thought that she'd use Natalie to do it.

"What did they do to her?" Bonnie asks.

"They made her what she is. A wielder of the magic she is immune to."
