---------------------------------------------------------Jason's POV
Sisters are annoying. Demigod sisters are complicated. Demigod sisters with a death wish, a bow, and a quiver of arrows are just plain scary.
I was sitting in the Gryffindor common room alone pretty late into the night, waiting for Thalia to get back from wherever she was when the common room door-picture-thingy swung open of it's own accord. Thinking it was a monster, I hid and reached for my weapon. As I was about to peek around the corner to see where to aim my weapon, I heard the rustling of a cloak and sigh.
"Good, nobody's here." Said the voice of Harry Potter. He went upstairs to his dorm room, and I didn't see him for the rest of the night.
Unfortunately, I didn't see Thalia either.
Thalia's POV
I yawned and looked up at the sky. It took my exhasted brain a moment to comprehend the bright sun shining through the trees. I was far into the forest, in a clearing between two streams.
Wait, if the sun is shining then it's day, right? So that means...
HOLY SHIT, I'VE BEEN OUT HERE ALL NIGHT!!
I grabbed my knife, bow, empty quiver, and the rest of my things and started booking it through the forest. I'd run out of arrows awhile ago, but that hadn't been more than a minor setback. Thanks to my Hunter of Artemis powers, I knew exactly how to get back to the castle. But even without that, I could've just followed the path if destruction and golden dust I'd made. It would be a long journey back to the castle, even though I was sprinting at full speed.
It took about an hour to get back to the grounds. If my calculation of the sun's position was correct, it was now 10:30 ish. That means I missed my first, and second, and most of third period! (A/N: For all the British people out there, would what hour would school be in at 10:30?)
As I took my first step out of the forest, I heard Jason say "Hagrid, I know Thalia. If she's anywhere, she's in the forest."
Hagrid replied "Then she's most like'rly dead. I'm sorry Jason, but even an, erm, what did you call it? Hunter of Artemis could s'vive long in th'r."
I followed the sound of their voices a little to Hagrid's hut and saw through the window him and Jason having tea, Jason looking exhausted and angry.
I opened Hagrid's door and shouted "'Couldn't survive long' my ass!"
I didn't care that I'd just insulted, cursed in front of, and broke into the house of a professor. The look on his and Jason's faces was worth the detention I was going to get.
"Y-you survived? Blimey, Thalia. You're b'er than I thought."
I was about to answer with a whitty remark, but Jason cut me off.
"Thalia. First off, I'm so glad you're not dead. Second, I will murder you for making us worry like that. Third, class is starting. You missed DADA, which I doubt Dumbledore was be too happy about."
I ran all the way back up to the school. If I remembered my schedule for today correctly. I had Transfiguration next. Mcgonagall would have my head of I was late.
I made it just as the bell rang, and sat next to Will. Him and Nico were having some petty scwable about seats.
"Firstly," Mcgonagall said, effectively silencing the class. "Please hand in your papers on Animagi after class. Second, we will be working on transforming our paper into -what do the muggles call it? Oragami swans. Now then, I will start taking attendance."
