Terushima Yuuji x Reader (requested by number_1_h03)

Hello Hello Hello. Next update of the day. Thanks for waiting for your request dear requester-san. Hope you guys have a nice day and have fun!

"(y/n), I am in love with you. Trust me" you glared at him.
"Terushima Yuuji, please stop it. I know you're not serious about this." you walked away from him but he ran and stopped in front of you.
"I never serious about anything except this" you closed your eyes, holding back your anger.

"You think I didn't know that you're popular with your playboy attitude? Terushima, I am not that easy" you said at him and want to walk away but he got your hand.
"I am serious about you, (y/n). I only got this serious when it's about volleyball and you. Please trust me" he pleads at you.
"I bet you said that to every girl out there when you want to get them, right? Please leave me alone" you took away your hand from him and walked away, leaving him. Little did you know, Terushima almost cried while watching you walked away and there's another person who saw that have an idea to show you how Terushima really is.

~ The next day ~

"(y/n)! Good morning my dear friend!" you laughed when your friend, Emiko, greeted you. With her in your life, you will never lack laughter because she knows how to make you feel happy.
"Morning Emiko" 
"(y/n)! Let's go to our school volleyball match tomorrow!" she said at you.
"Since when did you like volleyball?" you asked her.
"Since birth. Come on, let's go! I will treat you after that" she wiggled her eyebrow and you knew she will never give up until you gave the answer she wants.
"Okay okay. I will come with you tomorrow" 

"Yeah! It's a promise then!" you chuckled seeing how happy she is but you didn't know that she had a plan for you on that day.

~ At the match's gym ~

You never come to your school's volleyball team matches before but you did hear that they're the best four. When you've arrived at the spectators' seats, both of you sat down.

"You know (y/n), actually I have something to say to you today" Emiko's voice becomes serious which you know she is really serious.
"Actually, I saw Terushima and you the other day. When he confessed to you" you sighed when you heard his name.
"You know that he cried after you left?" your eyes widen when you hear it. Terushima's crying? Because of me?

"He is serious about you. I can tell it. I know he is not his playboy self when it comes to you, (y/n). He actually really really likes you. Why don't you give him a chance to see if he really changed or not?" your eyes wavered when you heard what she said. You knew Emiko never said something that is impossible and she never agrees with anyone who wants to be your boyfriend before but now, she told you to think it over.

A few minutes then, the match started between Johzenji High and Karasuno High. You saw the teams entered the court and your eyes fall at Terushima. You saw how they can control the game and impressed for a while. But then, their gameplay becomes worst and worst and Karasuno High got the first set. When the second set started, they become even worse. This moment when you decide to leave because you can't continue seeing how foolish they become.

~Pritt~

Emiko holds your hand, asking you to stay and you let out a sighed. You set back and saw their manager got mad at them and suddenly you felt a different aura coming from them. They started to focus and you can see that from 'only having fun' play to 'serious but fun' play which makes you in awe seeing how they truly are especially Terushima. You never saw him as serious as that but then you remembered.

"He is totally like this when he wants me to be his girlfriend. Is he really serious about me? Can I trust him?" you said it to yourself, not knowing that Emiko beside you heard that and already grinned.

You continued watching them and support them wholeheartedly. When you saw the serious Terushima on the court reminds you how serious he is when tried to ask you out multiple times. The more you watched him, the more you realized that you can try to give him the chance he needs. 

The match ended with Karasuno winning and your eyes watered when you know how Terushima and his team hard work to win the game but today the luck is not with them. When they come to the supporters to thanks all of the supporters, your eyes met with Terushima's and he immediately looks down in shame which makes you feel bad. You decide to search for him after this.

Terushima's pov

I can't believe that I can a fool of myself in front of (y/n). Never did I thought that she will come to our match. I thought she never cares about us. I walked alone to a secluded place and started knocking my head at the wall to wake myself up. 

"Stupid Yuuji! Stupid! Having fun?! Huh? Look what you did when you only want to have fun. We can win if we didn't play poorly at the first set" I got mad at myself but then I heard a voice coming from behind me. A voice that can make my eyes widen.
"Yeah, you guys did pretty poorly... at first" I turned around and saw (y/n).

"(y/n)?" I can't believe my eyes when I saw the girl I like is in front of me right now.
"Yes, I am. Back to before, you guys really having fun lose to Karasuno at first, huh?" I looked down because what she said is the truth.
"But, you guys did a great job during the second set. I am proud of you guys" she continued which makes me looked up and hugged her.

"This is the first compliment I got from you, (y/n). Thank you!" Without I realized, I picked her up and spun her around.

Reader's pov

He picked you up and spun you around which makes you smacked his shoulder to stop and released you because you're about to die in embarrassment when he easily did that to you. But you saw his genuine smile when he did that and you never saw him like that. An actual smile coming from him and not a smirk.

Then, he stopped abruptly may be due to his realization of what he did. 
"I am sorry! Trust me, I am not doing it on purpose! Trust me! Please, forgive me (y/n). Don't hate me. I am sorry!" he keeps one apologizing to you which makes you hold his shoulder to stop him.
"Please stop. You didn't do anything that worth of apologizing" you smiled at him.

He keeps on looking down which makes you decided to take his arm and tiptoe to kiss him on his cheek. Your action makes him blushing hard but he immediately trying to regain his composure.

"Why did you do that? For sympathy? Are you pitying me because I lost the game?" he asked you but you shook your head.
"Of course not!" you knew you're blushing right now but you know you have to continue what you want to say.
"I... I realised something after I watched your game and I am impressed by your hard work and seriousness. You guys played it the best you can especially you and that makes me realized that I shouldn't reject you all these times. I should give you the chance because... look at how hard you worked for me, asking me out seriously" you said to him everything you want to say to him.

"I saw you after the game finished, so I didn't know you were actually there. I-..." he said something about his game which makes you think that he didn't get what you said but then he continued.
"Wait a minute! Did you mean that you accept me as your boyfriend?" he asked you when he finally got what you mean. You chuckled when you realised how clueless he can be.

"Yes, I will go out with you, Terushima Yu-" he interrupts you with a hug and then a kiss on your lips. 
"Thank you, (y/n). Thank you for trusting me. I promised you that I will never betray your trust" you smiled at him. 
"I trust you, Yuuji"

"Yahoo! (y/n) is mine!" you startled when he suddenly shouted it.

Third-person pov

"I guess I can a cupid after this" Emiko smirked when she saw (y/n) and Terushima kissing.
"Terushima Yuuji, if you ever betray her, I will be the one who killed you later"
