The three were all staring at each other with wide eyes.
Gabe then quickly ran towards David and hugged him tightly as David did the same while Javi was standing there smiling with Kate in his arms.
Gabe: I always knew you were alive! I knew it!
David: I'm glad you're alive too, Ijo.
Javi: Holy shit! You're alive!
David: Couldn't have said it better myself.
David then sees Kate in Javi's arms all pale.
David: Oh my God! Kate!
David quickly ran towards Javi after pulling away from the hug with Gabe.
David: What the hell happened to her?
Javi: She got shot, she needs medical help.
The New Frontier still has their guns on us.
Y/N: is it really necessary to have their guns pointed at us?
Tripp: Yeah, what the hell.
David: Weapons down! This is my family!
The New Frontier then lowered their guns.
David then rubs Kate's face.
David: You're gonna be fine, Kate. Give me her.
Javi then gives David Kate ad he turns around to face his men.
Beanie Guard: We're just gonna let them in like that?
David: This is my wife, Max. Want her to die?
Max: No, I didn't say that.
David: I'm gonna bring her to the hospital.
Gabe: I'm coming too!
David and Gabe then walked into the gates as we tried to follow them but were stopped by a female guard.
Female Guard: Name's Fern. You guys are not going in yet. All of you have to go straight into quarantine.
Conrad: How does it not apply to his kid, hmm?
Fern: If David trusts him, we trust him.
Tripp: What a load of horseshit.
Javi: What kind of leadership is that if he just lets his kid in but not his uncle and his friends?
Fern: Just a precaution, we do things a certain way. We need to check all of you for bites and we'll ask you a few questions.
Jesus: I think it's just best we play along, right?
Fern: Give us your weapons then we can proceed.
One by one, we gave the New Frontier our weapons which felt uncomfortable but we had to make them believe we weren't there to attack them.
Fern: So, everyone good?
Javi: I guess. Lead the way then, Fern.
Fern nods as her and a few guards escort us to this quarantine facility they're talking about.
Inside were other people living peacefully like the apocalypse never happened.
There were kids playing in the park, people laughing and talking. But it made me feel like something was off.
