This is a Milisa (Milhouse x Lisa) One-shot.
It was a beautiful day outside. Birds were singing, the flowers were blooming, and it was on days like these that Lisa Simpson could appreciate being outside of the Springfield Elementary School. Normally she did not like being outside, because she'd always had a target on her back for bullies, but today she could resist no longer.
Lisa sat down underneath a tree near the playground, and observed her surroundings. She realized, to her joy, that no one was around to pester her. Principal Skinner and Edna Krabappel were deep in conversation with Superintendent Chalmers, her annoying brother Bart had gone off to vandalize the Principal's car, and the bullies, Dolph, Kearney, Jimbo, and Nelson, were nowhere to be found. Finally, Lisa could study for her English test in peace!
Or so she thought.
Suddenly, Lisa heard the familiar sound of laughter and jeers. She looked around, standing quickly, and found out where the bullies were. They were standing, a few feet from the playground, and they had surrounded Milhouse. Milhouse was Bart's best friend, and the weakest kid in Springfield Elementary. He was always being picked on by the bullies, but Bart had always been there to defend him. But now with Bart off doing whatever he was doing, Milhouse was vulnerable.
As Lisa watched, Jimbo snatched the glasses from Milhouse's head. Now blinded, Milhouse stumbled around, attempting to get away from them, but ran into Dolph, who pushed him away and punched him in the stomach. He fell to the ground, out of breath.
"Ha-ha!" laughed Nelson,
Lisa realized, to her horror, that no one was paying attention to the commotion other than her. It was up to her to stop the bullies from hurting Milhouse. So that was what she did. She ran up to the bullies, who then diverted their focus from Milhouse to her.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Lisa Simp-son." Dolph said, smirking.
"Leave Milhouse alone!" Lisa shouted. "He didn't do anything!"
"Oooooohh!" the bullies jeered, then began to chant. "Lisa loves Milhouse! Lisa loves Milhouse!"
"No I don't!" Lisa attempted to deny, but Nelson interrupted her.
"Oh yeah? Well I've seen the way that you've been looking at him lately, and that seem to say otherwise!" Nelson said, then continued to chant.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Nelson." Lisa denied. "If I were you, I'd be saying that because I was jealous!"
Nelson looked slightly uncomfortable at this, because he and Lisa had dated once, before she had broken it off.
"Please," Milhouse coughed from the ground. "Don't hurt Lisa, hurt me instead!"
Jimbo, Dolph, Kearney, and Nelson looked at each other, shrugged, and prepared to kick Milhouse into jelly, against the pleas of Lisa.
Suddenly, a loud blaring bell sounded from the school building. Everyone looked up, and began to head to the school. The bullies stopped their attacks.
"I guess we're out of time." Kearney sighed.
"Yeah, let's head to class." Jimbo said.
They turned away from Milhouse and Lisa, and followed the rest, but then stopped and turned around. Dolph left them with one final threat.
"Next time we see you guys, you're dead."
"Ha-ha!" laughed Nelson, and they all left.
Lisa sighed in relief.
"It seems that those jerks are as stupid as they are mean." she noted.
Milhouse, having located his glasses, put them on and stood up.
"Thanks, Lisa, for saving me." he said.
"Don't worry about it, Milhouse." Lisa replied. "Just glad I could."
There was a slightly awkward pause.
"Well...I guess, we should head to class?" Lisa asked.
"Yeah, sure." Milhouse agreed.
Lisa and Milhouse slowly started walking, until Milhouse stopped suddenly.
"What's up?" Lisa asked.
"Umm..." Milhouse looked nervous while saying this. "Did Nelson mean what he said? Y'know, before?"
Lisa looked as scared as Milhouse.
"You...you heard that?"
Milhouse nodded slowly. Lisa sighed and looked down.
"Yes," she said. "I...have to admit, I kinda have a crush on you, Milhouse. But I didn't want to say anything because...well..."
"You're afraid of what everyone else will think, right?" Milhouse finished.
Lisa nodded ashamedly.
"Well...I guess I gotta confess too." Milhouse said. "I've had a crush on you ever since we first met, and I never thought you liked me back, because of Nelson."
"I know." Lisa admitted. "It was...kinda obvious."
They both looked at each other, and there was another awkward silence.
"You know what?" Lisa said, breaking the silence. "Screw everyone else. We both know we have feelings for each other, and we've always been unpopular, so no one's gonna care!"
"But what about Bart?" Milhouse asked.
"If it comes down to that, screw him too. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks!"
"Yeah. Yeah, I guess you're right." Milhouse agreed half heartedly.
Lisa realized that it would take a little bit more than an inspirational speech to motivate Milhouse. So she did the next best thing. She stepped up to Milhouse and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. He stiffened, shocked, and looked at Lisa, who smiled warmly.
"C'mon, let's get to class. We're gonna be late." Lisa said.
She walked away from Milhouse and headed to the school building. A smile grew on Milhouse's face as he followed Lisa, knowing that school would become a little less like hell, and a little more like heaven, knowing that the angel of his dreams felt the same way that he did, at last.
I hope that's how Milhouse and Lisa actually confess to each other. I'm only at season 11, so I don't know if it actually happens. I'mma make another one-shot later in this book, but not for a LONG while.
(I'm farther along than season 11 now)
That one took an hour and a half. I hope y'all like it, so that that time hadn't been wasted.
