Ba-Jin paced across Zombie-Town, waiting for Monet113 to enter Minecraft. This was it. She was finally going to confess to her long-time crush. She had known, from the moment they met, that they were destined to be together. And now, that destiny was about to become reality.  Hopefully.

Da-Ray, her best friend, sensed her nervousness and impatience. She crossed the room to where Ba-Jin was pacing.

"Are you alright?" she asked.

"Yeah, just nervous." Ba-Jin sighed.

"Why? What's wrong?" Da-Ray questioned.

"I'm going to confess to Monet113 today." Ba-Jin told her friend. "I don't what's going to happen,  and every moment until she arrives in Minecraft is making me even more unsure."

Da-Ray laughed. "What are you worrying about? She's bound to return your feelings, you've known each other for so long. I'm sure she want to confess as well, but she's too shy to say it."

"You really think that?"

Before either of them could say anything else, a strange feeling came over the air in Minecraft. Ba-Jin looked up to the surface above.

"She's here, I know it." Ba-Jin said.

"Go ahead!" Da-Ray exclaimed. "Make your dreams come true! Just do it!"

"You're right..." Ba-Jin sighed again. "Thanks a lot, Da-Ray. I'm glad to have you as a friend."

Da-Ray smiled at Ba-Jin as she ran out of Zombie-Town. "Good luck," she said.

Monet113 arrived in Minecraft at the original spawn near the village. She had been summoned by her long-time zombie friend, Ba-Jin, who had said that there was something important that she wanted to tell her. She was slightly worried that something had occurred between the Free Zombies and Xa-Tul, the Zombie King, and that they wouldn't be able to see each other anymore, because she was a user. But Ba-Jin hadn't sounded worried; in fact, she sounded nervous and hesitant. Monet wondered why.

Footsteps interrupted her thoughts. She turned and saw Ba-Jin, slightly out of breath, running towards her.

"Hey..." she panted, exhausted.

"Ba-Jin!" she exclaimed, hugging the zombie girl. "How've you been?"

"I've been alright..." Ba-Jin said. "Just a little nervous."

"Nervous? Why?" asked Monet. "Does this have to do with what you're telling me?"

"Yes." Ba-Jin said. She looked down and twisted her blue shirt uncomfortably.

"Look...we've known each other for so long...and I've realized some things about myself that I hadn't known before I met you. And I just wanted to tell you...that I..."

Ba-Jin paused for a moment.

"I...um..."

"What is it, Ba-Jin?" asked Monet.

A shout interrupted them, and they turned to the direction of the village. A red-haired figure on horseback was galloping towards them, raising her bow in greeting. Ba-Jin looked back to Monet and saw that she was smiling at the figure, and that her cheeks were tinted bright red. She was blushing.

The girl reached them and dismounted the horse. "Monet! Glad you came!" she said.

The two girls ran to each other and embraced before turning back to Ba-Jin.

"You remember Stitcher from the village, right?" she said.

"Yeah..." Ba-Jin said slowly. Why had Monet started blushing when Stitcher came?

Monet looked excited as she spoke. "I haven't told anyone from the village yet, but I'll tell you, since 1. You're right here, and 2. You're my best friend. Here goes:

"Me and Stitcher are girlfriends.!"

Ba-Jin went numb. Stitcher and Monet were together?! Tears began to well in her eyes as the full impact of the situation dawned on her. She had been too late to confess. Stitcher had stolen the love of her life.

"Oh gosh! I'm so sorry! You wanted to tell me something?" Monet said suddenly. Ba-Jin, realizing that confessing was useless, blinked back her tears and looked up, smiling.

"You know what? I forget!" she lied. "In and out of my head, just like that! Don't you hate it when that happens to you?"

Monet and Stitcher looked at each other, confused. "That never happens to me..." Monet said slowly.

"You know what? I can believe that." Ba-Jin said quickly, starting to walk backward. "Anyway, it was GREAT to see you again, maybe we can talk later!"

She turned and ran back to the cave which led to Zombie-Town, crying. Monet and Stitcher just stood there.

"You think she would've told you if I hadn't come?" Stitcher asked, breaking the silence.

"Maybe," Monet said. "I'm not sure."

Da-Ray leaned against the wall of Zombie-Town, humming Mice on Venus by C418, one of the many songs that made up the Music of Minecraft. She was waiting for a response from Ba-Jin.

"What's taking them so long?" she asked herself.

Suddenly, she turned and saw Ba-Jin coming from the entryway, her head lowered.

"Ba-Jin! I've been waiting!" she exclaimed. "So, how was it? What did you say? What did she think? Are you two a thing now-wait what's wrong?"

She noticed that Ba-Jin was crying softly. She walked over to her friend and attempted to comfort her.

"What happened?" she asked. "Did you confess?"

Ba-Jin shook her head. "I was too late..." she whispered.

"What do you mean? Too late for what?"

Suddenly, Da-Ray realized. Ba-Jin was too late to confess, and someone else had done it before her.

"Oh no..." Da-Ray said aloud.

"Yes..." Ba-Jin sniffed. "That red-haired girl, Stitcher, beat me."

"Oh jeez..." Da-Ray said. "I really don't know what to say...Just don't worry about it too much, you'll always find someone else, you'll get a second chance to find someone. Monet found someone else, and you just have to move on."

"But I was so sure we were meant to be..." Ba-Jin replied dejectedly. "How can I move on?"

"I don't know, Ba-Jin, but in time, you will. And if you need anything, I'm right here beside you to help you out."

Da-Ray sighed, and looked up to her best friend. Ba-Jin glanced up too, and the two made eye contact.

"I hope you know, Ba-Jin, that I would do anything for you." Da-Ray told her, as she gazed into her friend's eyes. "You can always count on me to help you with anything."

At this, Ba-Jin and Da-Ray closed the distance between them and wrapped their arms around the other. Ba-Jin knew that Da-Ray was sincere with her words. "Thank you." she whispered.

Da-Ray hugged her friend a little tighter before letting go. She smiled at her, and then walked away. Ba-Jin watched her go, and felt a strange feeling, a feeling that she had only felt when she was around Monet113. I'll get a second chance to find someone. Da-Ray's words echoed in her mind, and Ba-Jin realized...

I've already found my second chance...
