(I still came up with the AU first, though...XD

I really don't care who takes credit, it's a really good AU idea...)

"The Simpsons..." a choir in the sky sung.

It was a beautiful day outside in Springfield. Flowers were singing, birds were blooming, and it was on days like these that I could appreciate the jokes that I make, swapping objects that aren't people...solely for the purpose of creating good horrible quality for my readers...

*sigh* what has my life come to?

MOVING ON

Lisa Simpson stood in the classroom, writing "I will not scream for ice cream" for the...how many times has she written it so far? Suddenly, the school bell rang, and Lisa looked up excitedly. She ran out of the classroom and out of the school, jumping onto a skateboard as she ran.

Marge Simpson was busy working in the Nuclear Power Plant when she heard the bell ring. She took off her welder's mask, and strolled out of her workplace, while her boss, Waylon Smithers, and his assistant, Monty Burns, looked on in confusion.

Meanwhile, Maggie Simpson sat on the conveyor belt of the Kwik-E-Mart, along with some other groceries, sucking on her pacifier. She was scanned along with the other items, and thrown into a bag, much to the concern of Homer Simpson. But when she popped her head out of the bag, Homer sighed in relief, and left.

Back in school, the children were having band rehearsal when Bart Simpson began to play a solo on his saxophone. They all stopped and looked at him, and the director silently, but angrily, pointed him out the door. He walked out, continuing to solo on his saxophone.

Marge drove along the road peacefully, until she felt something on the back of her shirt. She reached behind her and pulled out the inanimate carbon rod. She threw it out the window, where it clinked against the very sidewalk that Lisa was skateboarding, passing various townsfolk, and narrowly avoiding a collision with Homer's car, which swung around the sharp curves in the road and, upon hearing the train whistle, honked its horn back at it.

They all arrived at their home. The car pulled into the driveway, and Lisa used it as a jump point down. Marge exited the car, almost running into Bart, who rode his bike into the garage.

"D'oh!" she exclaimed, then screamed as Homer's car pulled in beside her, almost hitting her.

They all ran into the living room, and began to dance in front of the TV. Several other dancers joined them, and then the walls fell apart to reveal a big circus performance going on behind them.

CREATED BY THE GREAT GOD MATT GROENING

WE OWE OUR LIVES TO HIM

The time read 6:00. Homer Simpson woke up, feeling refreshed after a long night of sleep. He checked the time, and gasped softly. Nudging his wife, Marge, he whispered.

"Marge, Marge, wake up! You're going to be late for work!"

Marge groaned.

"Awwhhhh, Homie, can't it wait for five minutes?"

"No!" Homer persisted. "You've gotta get up! You know how Mr. Smithers gets whenever his workers are late!"

Marge sighed. "Fine..." They rose out of bed, Marge grumbling to herself, and began their preparations for the upcoming day.

"Kids! Get up! You're gonna be late for school!" Homer shouted.

Bart came downstairs, looking energetic for the school day ahead of him, while Lisa dragged herself down, looking exhausted.

"Awh, Dad, do we have to do?" she asked.

"Now I know that you don't like going to school every day, but it's important! Without it, you'll end up working at McDonalds, or something like that." Homer explained.

"Ooh, we're going to McDonalds if I don't go to school?" Lisa asked excitedly.

"That's not what I meant..." Homer sighed. Lisa laughed.

Soon, the time had come for everyone to leave. Bart and Lisa ran outside to catch the school bus, while Marge drove off to the Nuclear Power Plant. Homer was left all alone to take care of Maggie. It was a peaceful life.

Bart and Lisa arrived at school. They all jumped off of the school bus and began to head into the school building. There, they were greeted by Principal Chalmers, who, surprisingly, was accompanied by Superintendent Skinner. (Gosh, that has a ring to it, no?) As they entered the building, they could hear the Superintendent's shout of "Chalmers!"

As they walked forward, they heard a strange commotion behind them. They turned and saw Milhouse, the school bully, holding Nelson by the shirt.

"Gimme all your lunch money, or I swear, I'm gonna pound you into dust!" he shouted, balling his free hand into a fist.

"Hey, leave him alone, man!" Lisa protested in outrage. "What are you picking on my best friend for?"

"You know what?" Milhouse said. "You're not even worth my time. I've beaten you up so many times, it's gotten old."

He pushed Nelson away, causing him to trip backwards. "Ha-ha!" he laughed as he walked away.

Bart held out a hand. "You OK, Nelson?"

"Yeah..." he said, catching his breath.

"If you walk away from him, he won't bother you as much." Bart advised. "It worked for me."

"Thanks, Bart." Nelson said as they all headed to class.

Meanwhile Marge had arrived at the Nuclear Power Plant. She swung into her parking space and got out of the car. As she headed to the main building, she saw her two friends, Lenny and Carl, and walked in with them. Their boss, Waylon Smithers, was standing outside the door, with a bored expression on his face. His assistant, Monty Burns, was standing beside him.

"Monty, who is that woman?" Smithers asked as she passed them.

"That's Marge Simpson, sir, one of your employees from Sector 7-G." Burns replied. "All of the recent events of your life have revolved around her in some way."

"Simpson, eh?" he said to himself, before raising his hands and tenting his fingers. "Excellent."

And with that, they headed into the Plant to start a new day of work.

Whew...I've never done an AU one-shot before...I'm not sure whether to ask for you to judge me or not. Galaxy, if you're reading this, what do you think?
