“Matthew likes who?”
“What?” Deme swallowed, “now you will attack Matthew?”
“You told Matthew about this kid before you told us?” Abigail gaped, “are you fucking kidding me!”
“Do you see how you are acting? Of course I told him! He did not attack me!”
“We are your siblings.” Abraham stepped forward, eyes lighting up, “how dare you go to him first.” The alpha growled low, shovel still perched on his shoulder, “so, he likes him. That means he’s met him and Matthew does not just like someone he has met once.”
Demetrius held his breath, standing up a little straighter. “He takes me to see him when he can.” The omega started running when the cocoa in his hand started shaking, “ama!”
-
“Hey, Deme!” Jeremiah stood, leaving his bag on the bench with his friends. “Hey!”
Demetrius tried not to roll his eyes so hard before turning around. “Yes?”
The alpha made a face, “what is wrong? Are you mad at me?”
Deme shrugged, “no.” He looked behind Jeremiah at his group of friends, “what do you want?”
“Uh,” The alpha frowned, “are you trying to pretend that we did not hang out yesterday? In my room?”
Demetrius growled, “what are you getting at?”
“Hey,” Jeremiah held up his hands, “I am not saying anything bad. I’m not saying we did anything, but I am also a little confused. We were comfortable yesterday. We left on good grounds, right?”
Deme blushed, “yeah.”
Jeremiah stepped closer, biting his cheek, whispering, “did I do something wrong?”
“No.” The omega sighed softly, looking at the alpha’s gray eyes. “I just do not really have friends.”
“I am a friend. If you want me to be.”
“You have friends that are waiting for you.”
“And I leave them to have lunch with you.”
Demetrius cleared his throat, cheeks bright red, “why?”
“I like you. Is that bad?”
“I have to go.”
Jeremiah grabbed his arm, “come by after school?”
“I -I cannot.”
“Please?”
“No, I really cannot.” Deme frowned, “my family -I just-”
“Okay.” Jeremiah released his arm, “this weekend then? I can come get you.” He smiled, “I drive -really good.”
Demetrius smiled, “um, I can just ask Matthew.”
Jeremiah breathed, “I forget you know him. Well, anyway, I would love if you did. We can call it our second ‘date’.”
