“Hi Abby,” Isa tucked a piece of hair back. “How are you?”

Abraham swallowed, unable to look away from his soon to be pre-bonded partner. Isaac looked like -Isaac. He wasn’t wearing anything special. It was just his boyfriend, in loose pants and a regular long sleeve. But, goodness, it felt different.

They were bonding this week.

Abraham was terrified. So terrified that he cried to his mom on the phone when he landed. Screamed at him, questioning why he would ever allow Abraham to do this. His mom laughed, sighed, and ended the call with; ‘I love you.’

Matthew, Israel and Mark were in the car that dropped him off. It was awkward. The scents in the car were strong. It was tense.

Matthew had given him a wide smile from the rear-view on his way out. Israel helped him with his bags and Mark aggressively crawled into the front seat.

With a warm hug and a small shove, Abraham was standing in front of Isaac. The car was long gone behind him, coming back in exactly one week.

“Good.”

Isaac tilted his head, grinning, “good?”

“Mhm.”

“Nervous?”

“Oh yeah.”

Isaac giggled, biting his lip, “my parents are not home.” Abraham went bright red. “Nor is my sister. They wanted to give us some privacy. Let us get comfortable.”

“Yeah, sure.”

“Abby…”

“I know, I know, Isa.” Abraham sighed deeply, walking past the omega and into the house. “Your room?”

“Abby.”

Abraham kept walking, walking down the long warm halls of their home. They had a beautiful home. Zayn built houses when he was in Greenland. His father always complained that Zayn’s home had better dimensions than theirs. Zayn was just happy to do something better than Harry.

Abraham took a deep breath once Isaac room was exposed. It smelled just like his omega. It smelled like flowers too, Isaac loved sticking wildflowers all over his room.

The instant calming reminded him of his mother. How easy it was to relax. Taking the first big breath out of water.

“Abby, why do you ignore me when you get upset.”

Abraham dropped his stuff, “I am not upset.”

“You just dragged snow through my house.”

Abraham quickly looked down at his shoes, “shit.” He made a noise at Isaac’s swift hand stopping him before he could leave.

“They will not be back until night.” Isaac shook his head, “but you better not step on my new rug with those.”

Abraham nodded, swallowing the lump in his throat. He quickly removed his shoes, letting Isaac place them outside his door.
