Winner or loser ?

Only 20 minutes left , Danny saw the formation , Zeus's team is still sticking to the 4-2-3-1 formation, Danny signalled Josh and Kurt , they understood what it meant and in no time their formation changed to 4-2-3-1 as well, countering their opponent's with their formation, Claus came forward with the ball and passed it to Ryan and Ryan further passed it to Josh , Josh moved quickly tackling the opponent and moved forward passing the ball to Danny but it was taken by Kenny , Kenny further passed it to his team mate who further passed it Zeus , Zeus was about to enter the opponent's yard box but Danny toppled Zeus and got ball , Zeus stood up and ran after Danny , Danny passed it Josh , Josh moved quickly passing the ball to Ricky and Ricky to Danny again, 5 minutes till the game's over,the situation has tensed up, both the opponent's fighting shoulder to shoulder , Danny reached the final defence line and it was going to be sure hit but before he could hit the ball somebody kicked his leg hard and he fell on the ground, an unnerving pain disrupted his senses , he lifted his head to see blood oozing out of his left leg .

Danny's eyes dilated, "B-blood....I-it's b-bblood....", Danny's breathing got heavy , the sound of the crowd felt distant , before falling unconscious he saw Josh , Claus , Ricky running towards him while Zeus stood there with a shocked expression.

Danny slowly opened his eyes , he saw Rob talking to the doctor .

"R-rob...."

Rob was startled, he turned around to see Danny has opened his eyes, he ran towards him , held his hand and said , " Danny are you okay ? Are you feeling any pain ? Is it painful?"

But the doctor interrupted, " Excuse me , let me just have a look"

The doctor took a good look at Danny and confirmed that everything's fine.

Robert stood there clearly tensed, after the doctor left the room , Robert literally pounded over Danny and said , " what the heck were you thinking?"

"What? It's just a friendly football match !"

"A friendly What ?"

"A friendly football match!"

"And in that friendly football match someone kicks you to death ?"

"I am not dead Rob"

"Yes you're not , you were just unconscious for a whole day ? That's not death right ? That's just close to death !"

'I was unconscious for a whole day?' , Danny thought to himself

"Whatever leave that aside , that guy who kicked you is suspended anyway and I did a background check on him , it looks like he is connected to the underworld his family has a high reputation down the streets and as per his reputation in the school I'm thinking of allotting a bodyguard to you"

"What ???? A body-what ????"

"A bodyguard"

"Robert this whole stuff is all natural , it happens in every school, it's common....and if you allot me a bodyguard then what's the point of my disguise ? What's the point of me living as a ordinary guy ?....you know that I wanted just one year of freedom from everything....I did everything...whatever you asked me to do and all I wanted was just a year....a year where I am not bothered by the flashing lights and cameras"

"I can understand but that's not the issue...there have been some suspicious movement made by the FRESH PRODUCTIONS which is making me worry, rumours had it , since ZAP is taking on all the major productions for the past three years it has only added to their grudge against us"

"That's a silly reason to hold a grudge , I must say"

"But whatever it is we need to be careful if anything suspicious happens call me immediately, okay ?"

"Okay !"

Danny tried to sit up , Rob helped him to sit straight , after Danny made himself comfortable he saw a huge bandage on his left leg .

"So ummm what did the doctors say ? What happened to my leg ?"

"Well it seems that the boot grips went deeper cutting through your skin but fortunately no major nerve or ligament was affected , that guy surely kicked you hard"

"What did you do ?"

"What ? What do you mean by what did I do ?"

"I mean what actions did you take against him Rob, I know you won't let him go this easy"

"Well nothing much"

"Nothing much huh?"

"Well I just sipped a cup of tea with his dad that's all"

"Robert De'souza !!!!"

"What ? It's just a cup of tea"

"A lot can happen over a cup of tea Robert"

Robert pretend not to listen .

"Stop ignoring me....okay whatever I give up...so when I'm gonna get out of this shitty place ?"

"A week probably....till then rest properly and Danny please take care of yourself....you know he is worried"

Danny turned his face away. He specifically doesn't require his attention, nothing matters now , not even his existence.

"Well I'll be leaving now, get some rest and I'll visit you later , okay"

"Okay !"

After Rob left the VIP room , Danny stared at the ceiling with a blank expression, memories flashing back one after another . He closed his eyes and said , "Never , never" , while tears came cascading down his cheeks .

He reached for his phone and plugged in the headphones and played "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen .

This song helps him to relax his nerves and settle his mind . By the time the song ended , he had already fallen asleep . What he failed to realise that a pair of eyes was watching over him through the CCTV camera attached to his room .
