Why do you keep bandaging yourself
When you aren't hurt?
Does it give you closure?
You think you're safe from the exposure?
Why do you not let your light get out
And light up the world?
Do you think it's blinding?
Do you feel good when you hide it?
Don't make me hate you, don't hate yourself
Don't believe what your mind tells you at 2 a.m.
It's not always right
Let yourself step out, you're not abnormal
Flaunt your lovely lustre, you're phenomenal
Yes you are, in my eyes
Because you really, really, really are
A diamond in the dark
And you really, really, really are
An oasis
There is nothing you can do
To change my love for you,
So open your eyes and let the world live by.
Your thoughts, disrupted by other thoughts
Shoot bullets in your mind
Instead of using a silencer,
Why don't you try throwing the gun over?
Don't use a shade to pattern your gleam
You're human, not a bulb
Your illumination won't kill
It was made by the deities to share goodwill
I love you, please love yourself,
Crawl out from that hardening shell,
Come out now
It's okay if you don't have the sweetest voice,
Make it speak your thoughts among all the noise,
Sing their sounds
Because you really, really, really are
All your moments arrayed
And you really, really, really are
A whole
There is nothing you can do
To change my love for you,
So open your eyes and let the world live by.
