Now you may be wondering "what does it mean to fade away?". Let me explain.
When a Side "fades away", it becomes forgotten and essentially dies. Thomas will no longer have that aspect of him and will never remember whom it was.
Usually this process occurs in the Subconscious where the Traits like to play. Traits aren't Sides, and therefore can stay there for days without hurting Thomas. A Side cannot.
On a rare occasion, the Side may corrupt and become a new Side. This has happened exactly one time as far as anyone knows. A new Side has yet to replace the old, and often times the corruption changes the Side's personality.
For Logan and Remus to duck out into the subconscious, they're putting themselves at risk for fading and corruption– in Logan's case at least. Especially since no one knows they're missing, they won't have a chance to survive unless Thomas notices.
So there they were, sharing a small room in the subconscious and keeping themselves disconnected from Thomas. Remus was curled up on the beanbag on the corner of the room, wearing one of Deceits old sweaters. God how Remus missed the snake boi already.
"Are you alright, Remus?" Logan asked as he sat on the bottom of the bunk bed. He was watching Remus wearily as he took his shoes off. Remus nodded and summoned a blanket to snuggle under despite how many blankets they already had piled around the room.
Logan walked over and sat on the floor next to the sad boy. He kissed the others cheek and held his hand. "Would you like to cuddle for a bit?"
Remus shrugged and squeezed Logan's hand to keep calm. He loved Logan, not romantically perse but definitely more than a friend. Oh well, not like Logan will ever figure that out. He moved over just a little so Logan could fit onto the bean bag next to him.
Logan immediately laid next to him. The nerd wrapped his arms around the sad boi and held Remus close to him.

Shut Up |Remus Angst|
