Sugawara's POV
I wake up, warm. I was in so much pain, I could barely get up. So I just stayed where I was.
"And he is up." I look up at Daichi. His eyes were shut but he was awake.
"I am up." I add, softly smiling. I'm where I'm supposed to be. Daichi opens his eyes and looks down at me. He looked tired. I look away, "i-I'm sorry..."
"For?" He asks, lifting up my chin, causing me to look back at him. I raise my hand and place it on top of his.
"I-I kept you up...I know."
"You didn't at all, I've just been having a hard time sleeping lately." I didn't believe him. I made him stay up. I know I did. His hand makes its way up to cup my face.
BAM
The door barges open and it's Asahi's little sister, Daichi and I scurry away.
"Come on lovebirds! Mommy says it's time to eat!" She slams the door and I laugh. I always wished I had a little sibling. Sometimes being an only child wasn't fun.
I get up slowly, trying not to hurt myself.
"Are you still hurt?" I nod, "y-yeah...but it's okay. I can at least walk-" Daichi looks at me worryingly before helping me up.

Daichi's POV
As soon as we walk down the stairs, we're greeted by good mornings and breakfast. As we sit down, I send glances to Suga. He looked intimidating to eat. He was already in pain already. He shakes his head, picking at the food.
"Hey...just try okay? You don't have to eat it all." I whisper in his ear and he nods, "I know." I worried. He barely touched his food at all. After a while he puts his hand over his mouth and runs to the bathroom.
"Excuse me." Asahi's mom nods her head, telling me to go ahead. I race upstairs. I knock on the door lightly, "hey, it's me. Can I come in?" The door unlocks and I walk in, shutting the door again. I sit next to him on the ground. He had his head down, spitting multiple times.
"I was going to ask if you're okay, but that'd look really dumb.." he nods his head, "y-yeah, it would be."
"Are you eating...at all?" He nods his head, "at least one meal every day..." he sits back after flushing. He lifts up his knees and hides his face in his knees. I move right next to him, he rests his head on my shoulder, but he still didn't show his face. He was constantly shaking like he was cold.
"Are you cold?" He shakes his head, "no..."
"Do you want to go home?" He shakes his head again, "no..." I sigh, "come on, let's go to my house then. We don't have to do anything." He nods, giving me his hand. I get up slowly, followed by him.
"Hey, Asahi?" Asahi gets up from the dining table and walks over to us, Suga hiding behind me.
"Are you okay?" He shakes his head, "not really.." he mutters, almost a whisper.
"We're just going to head out. I don't think I'm going to be at school tomorrow either."
"You're going to school-" Suga starts before I interrupt him,"no I'm not."
"What about the practice-?"
"I'm not going to go..uhm..you guys don't need me anyway. I haven't been to practice for a while either so coach wouldn't let me play anyway." I scratch the back of my head.
"Fine. I hope you get better, Suga." Suga smiles lightly, nodding his head. We walk out of the house and Suga throws up again in a bush.
"Okay, yeah, I'm just going to carry you." I say, picking him up on my back.
——————
As we walk into the house, I slip off Suga's shoes as he gets off, racing to the bathroom to throw up again. I sigh as I take off my own shoes. My mom wasn't home..she's probably back at work.
I walk into the kitchen, getting Suga a cup of water. I walk upstairs and walk into the bathroom, giving him the cup of water, sitting down next to him.
"I don't think this is-" he throws up again.
"Yeah...I don't think so." I shake my head.
"W-Why is your bathroom so cold..?" I chuckle, "do you need a blanket or a coat?"
"Both?" He chuckles, I nod my head.
"Any one in particular?" He smiles, "how'd you know?"
"Eh, just kinda knew."
"Your old jacket is in my bag."
"And the blanket?"
"..the darker grey one." Awe...
"Alright. I'll be back."
Sugawara's POV
"You're tired, sugar." He petted my head, but I insisted I wasn't."I am not." I yawn, "mhm.."
There was a knock on the door, "what are you boys doing in the bathroom? In the dark?" We both laugh, "Suga is feeling sick!" We both hear laughter on the other side of the door before hearing footsteps. She left.
I look at the corner of his laptop, it was close to two am. I yawn again before laying down, resting my head on the pillow that was placed on Daichi's lap.
"See, I told you. You're tired."
"But who isn't at this hour..." I groan, turning onto my back, looking up at Daichi. We were staring at each other for a while, but of course he won.
"Don't look away." He chuckles, tilting my chin back up, "why not?"
"Because you're beautiful." I feel myself get flustered and I try my best not to look away, "y-you can't say things like that..."
"Why not?" A goofy smile escaped his lips, "you're a dork." I laugh. I grab his face and pull him down, kissing him.
"You taste like puke."
"Shut up. I'm going to sleep."
"Goodnight, Sugar."
"Goodnight, dork."
"I love you." The word still ached my heart but...not too bad.
"I love you too." At least I can mean it and say it back, right? I felt my eyelids get heavy and I shut them. I'm now in a soft, dreamless, sleep. Warm on a bathroom floor.
