Reason #3

Sugawara's POV

After Daichi went to sleep, I wriggle out of his arms, getting out of his grasp. I got to the bathroom and lock the down. I pulled my shirt down, exposing the purple-ish bruise he left. I gently press down, which made it hurt.

I'm so pathetic...I just disappointed him. Maybe if...maybe if I actually trusted..no. I do trust Daichi. But what if even that disappoints him more than turning it down. I don't know what I'm doing. He seemed to know what he was doing. I'm just...new at it.

Pathetic.

I sigh as I flush the toilet, making it seem as if I'm just in here to go bathroom. I wash my hands (stay clean).

I crawl back into bed next to Daichi. He wraps his arms back around me, "where did you go...?" He asks, groaning.

"Just to the bathroom...go back to sleep..." I whisper,caressing my thumb against his cheek bone.

"Back on it..." he groans, pulling me in closer. I turn around, facing the wall, letting our legs tangle with each other. He's so warm..and gentle. Soon after, I felt myself slowly going to sleep.

"Shit!" I hear Daichi curse, followed by a loud crash, which causes me to open my eyes.

"D-Daichi...?" I groan. Is he leaving?

"Hey, hey, uhm...go back to sleep, Sugar. I'll be back." He exclaims, racing towards me.

"W-What time is it...?" I groan, turning back around.

"It's only 3 am. Please, go back to sleep. I promise I'll be back in 2 minutes." He explains but I was already too tired to answer. A couple moments later, the light turns on, causing me to open my eyes, squinting at how bright it was. It was Daichi's mother, who turned on the light.

"O-Oh sorry..." she says, turning off the light. I go back to how I was, with my eyes closed, but still awake.

"What was that?!" His mother whisper shouts at him. Still a trigger. It didn't bother me though..well, not as much as actual shouting does.

"I accidentally knocked down a cup annnnnd it broke." Daichi whispers in response. He knows what's a trigger...that's generous...

After his mother leaves, I can feel his eyes turn to me, "are you okay?" I nod, "y-yeah..." he cleans up the mess and then leaves the room. It was cold. I put the blankets over my shoulder....come back Daichi.

Like it was magic, he walks in only moments later, getting back into bed, putting his arms around me. It was warm again...again.

"Okay, boys! Don't do anything too crazy!" I could hear Sora shout from downstairs. I open my eyes, getting out of bed. I walk down the stairs, rubbing my eyes.

"Dai- DAICHI!" I shout, turning the corner to find him burning pancakes.

"Oh good morning, Sugar!" He smiles at me, I shake my head and grab the spatula out of his hand.

"...morning. What were you doing?" I ask, looking at the one 'okay' one on a plate on the side.

"I was trying to cook!"

"We both know you can't Daichi, so please don't burn the place down." I could hear him chuckle as he wraps his arms around me from behind. His warm breathing was on my neck. This was just like last night...but his breathing is calm. Comforting. I flip the pancake around, "you're such a mom, Suga." I chuckle, confused.

"What do you mean? I can cook, I can clean, that's about it-"

"That's not true. You know how to comfort people, like it's an instinct." The last part was a whisper, making me get chills. But I don't know how to comfort people...that's like my worst downside of many.

"T-That's not-"

"You always have something on you. Like that one time Asahi needed a bandaid, you had that." I was silent, "cat's got your tongue, sugar?" He chuckles, letting go of me.

"T-Take the pancake and go sit down."I say, putting the other pancake on top of the other. He obeys and goes sit at the table, I sit down next to him, putting my head down, looking at him. He's so handsome when he's happy.

"You're not going to eat?" I shake my head, "breakfast makes me sick..." I explain and he nods his head.

Won't you let me walk you home from school?

Daichi twirls me around in a circle, I laugh and smile widely as we dance in the living room, with our song playing.

Won't you meet me at the pool?

He pulls me closer, kissing me. I love you.

Maybe Friday I can..

I love you so much.

Get tickets for the dance.

You always know what to do. You always know what to say. I love you.

And I'll take you.

Please don't leave me...I wouldn't know how to let go.

Won't you tell your dad get off my back?

Dad....I finally love someone else...but I vowed that I'd only love you..nobody else.

Tell him what we said about painting it black.

Please forgive me...I can't stop myself.

Rock and roll is here to stay!

I stop dancing at wrap my arms around Daichi's neck, kissing him. He's surprised at first but quickly melts into the kiss. Dad...please? I want him...I want to see a future with him.

Come inside where it's okay!

We part, heavy breathing both from the dancing and the kiss. I want you. Is all I want to say..i want you to be apart of my life. Forever.

-acoustic guitar ending-

The record stops and all you can hear now is our heavy breathing. He smiles at me, which causes me to smile.

"Let's go on a date..." he says, "where to..?"

"Cultural festival. Me , you and no one else."

"Daichi..."

"I love you Suga, and I have many reasons why, but my third reason...is because you keep my happy...thank you."
