Chapter 16

Next week

[ Hawks ] "Are you excited about your birthday begins in two days"

I was on FaceTime with Hawks, and I sighed

[ Y/n ] "Not really"

[ Hawks ] "Why not, kid?"

[ Y/n ] "It's not the same, so why would I celebrate it?"

[ Hawks ] "It's going to be fun?"

I rolled my eyes

[ Y/n ] "What's so important about birthdays anyway?"

[ ??? ] "OHH, hey Y/n!!"

I saw Rumi and waved at her

[ Y/n ] "It's nice to see you again"

She took the phone from Hawks, and he yelled out, "hey!"

[ Rumi ] "So, how have you been?!? You should really break up with this loser and be with me instead! I'm better and stronger than him or anyone else, get you a woman...the keyword is "man," who can treat you right, aka like me!"

I laughed, and she started flexing her muscles

[ Hawks ] "Give me that phone!"

He snatched the phone back, and they both started arguing

[ Hawks ] "Ahem, anyways, like I said. Think about it, it's your one lifetime that you're going to turn 22, and you only can do it once"

[ Y/n ] "Don't give a two fuck"

[ Hawks ] "I was just trying to help!"

I hold my middle finger.

[ Hawks ] "Wow...my girlfriend doesn't love anymore"

[ Y/n ] "Stop being dramatic"

We both saw the door opened, and saw Dabi

[ Y/n ] "Hey scarface"

[ Dabi ] "Hey, psycho"

[ Hawks ] "Well, I'll be going now. Love you!"

[ Y/n ] "Talk to you later, love you"

[ Hawks ] "Think about what I said too!"

Hawks hung up the call, and I turn to Dabi.

[ Dabi ] "What is he talking about? Think about what?"

[ Y/n ] "Nothing, it's not important"

[ Dabi ] "Okay, whatever you say"

He squeezed my face together then look into my eyes

[ Dabi ] "Are you hungry?"

He let go of my face and smirked

[ Y/n ] "Yeah, but I don't feel like cooking"

I shrugged

[ Dabi ] "That's fine, we can just eat out"

The door bust wide opened, seeing Toga breathing hard.

[ Toga ] "So Y/n"

[ Y/n ] "What?!?"

I was confused about the reason why she rushes into my room.

[ Y/n ] "Did something happening?"

[ Toga ] "First, Dabi called us women useless. Second, there's a new villain group trying to take over the city or whatever!"

Dabi scratched the back of his neck and hoped I wouldn't say anything about his opinion. He tried to ease out of the room until I stopped him.

[ Y/n ] "You're not off the hook, sir!"

I manipulated him to sit down on the bed.

[ Y/n ] "Thank you, Toga. We deal with the villain part later, but right now...I'm going to deal with scarface."

I cracked my knuckles

[ Toga ] "Okay!"

She left the room while giggling.

[ Dabi ] "I didn't mean it that way...it was a long time ago before we met you! I didn't know-"

[ Y/n ] "Mhmm, save the excuse!"
