Ink's pov.
It's been three days since Error jumped into the void, and it took three days to set up the party to celebrate his death. The death of the destroyer obviously means that this should be the party of the ages.
When I, Dream, Stretch, Outer, and whoever else was there announced to the rest of the council what happened, they all went into party mode. The next thing I remembered was beginning the planning for today's party with a headache. For once, I didn't know if the memory lapse was because of my Swiss cheese memories or because of the alcohol.
I can't wait to get this party started. And for afterward, when I can finally create without Error destroying it 5 minutes later. I just need to finish quickly taking my vials.
Someone knocks as I finish downing the last one.
"Ink! Are you ready? Don't tell me you forgot about the party!" I smiled as I approached the door, having just taken yellow. I continued smiling as I opened the door to find my slightly huffy friend in yellow.
"Forget what could possibly be the greatest night of my life? I wouldn't dream of it!" He sighs before chuckling at the overused pun.
"We paint got time for that! We're going to be late!" He hurried off with me right behind him. Of course, I reminded him that we could teleport to the room where it'll happen. Better than running through the entire base just to get downstairs. The building is kind of like how a human would expect a government building to look like, but instead of offices, there are bedrooms.
We teleported down to the back courtyard where the party will be held, a good number of Sanses already there and chatting. There were several cheerful greetings sent our way as we joined the crowd. Soon we found ourselves somehow on the other side standing by Stretch, who stepped aside for a smoke. We stood chatting until the conversation strayed towards the missing member of the Star Sanses.
"Stretch, where's Blueberry?"
"Oh, he told me he would be a little late and something else about tacos, I think."
"Strange," Dream mused, "Blueberry's usually early for everything! Wonder why he would be late for this?"
Stretch just shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe it's finally sinking in that he won't have to live in fear of Error kidnapping him again anymore. He's spent the past few days in disbelief ever since I came home with the news." I was about to ask for details when someone else called for my attention.
"Hey, Ink! How about a few words before we get this party started!" A SwapFell Papyrus shouted my way with a few cheers from anyone nearby. I smiled as I quickly painted a small stand and a microphone to ensure that I'm seen and heard. All eyes turned to me as I began speaking.
"Hello, everyone! Welcome to the party of the century! It took a long time to get ourselves here, with the destroyer and all. We lost many friends along the way, but our friendship just grew stronger as we fought on! And now, we can celebrate knowing that the destroyer is dead and gone, our friends avenged, and soon peace will reign throughout our multiverse! We still have some work to do, but for now… Let's Party!" The applause was deafening as the party started in full swing. This will definitely be a night to remember!

****'s pov.
This will be quite the night to remember.
I'm late though. Couldn't decide on anything suitable to wear for this special occasion. In the end, I went with a leather vest my boyfriend gave me for my birthday, which nicely shows off my arms, a tank top depicting a human rock band, ripped jeans, and combat boots to complete the look. I pulled out a necklace with two small pendants on it; one is a small crescent moon that sparkled a deep black, the other was a circle with a picture of Outertales' sky.
I smiled sadly as I stared at the latter of the two before putting it on. I turned to the pile of rags beside me.
"Might as well return them to their proper owner, not like I'll be coming back." I quickly shoved them into my storage pocket before finally opening a portal to the dreaded party already in full swing.
I scowled at the scene before me.
The partying.
The dancing.
The laughter.
It's almost like they didn't doom us to destruction. Oh, wait.
Only a couple of the partiers noticed me as I leaned against the wall, lighting a quick cig. Never wanted to go back to this disgusting habit but considering what happened recently, it wasn't that hard to get back into it. The room quieted down as the rumor of a strange, new skeleton showed up and started smoking spread. Noticing really isn't the same as recognizing, now is it?
I got a couple of good puffs in before the crowd split into two. Through the middle can Ink and Dream with Stretch stalking right behind them. I bit pretty hard into the cigarette to avoid lashing out too soon. They stopped about five feet away before the self-proclaimed guardian of the multiverse spoke.
"Greetings, New Sans! I'm Ink, creator and protector of the multiverse, and this is my friend Dream, guardian of positivity and, well, dreams. Who might you be, and which au are you from?"
"Wow. You guys have such a set expectation for who I was that you can't see me for who I am. Pathetic, but expected from a bunch of blind Judges." Shock covered their complexions as whispering started again. One broke out of the shock to question me.
"Answer the question! Who the **** are you?" I turned to the underfell Sans, most likely a copy, grinning as I gritted my teeth at the disgusting sight of them all.
"Do you really want to know? There's no going back once you learn." He shifted uneasily as my stare penetrated his soul. I guess Ink occasionally tries to protect others when he's at least in the same room because he interrupted me.
"Seriously, who are you? I haven't been able to create in a while, and I know just about everyone else." I couldn't help but roll my eyes before stating my answer.
"But do you really? There are quite a few people who've been suffering under your care because no one takes the time to learn their stories. But if you insist." I flicked the cigarette away as I stood up straighter. Then closing my sockets to allow my eye lights to shift over to the stars they're so familiar with, I let out a laugh and looked straight at them. "Mwehehe! Recognize me now?" Gasps filled the room as the stars blinked back into the standard white eye lights. They definitely know who I am now.
"B-blueberry? What the heck are you wearing?" My 'brother' was the most shocked. "Go home and change right now!"
"Oh, I will be going home soon, just not yours and not yet. I have a message to deliver first." I turned to Ink and started with three words. "You f***** up! Bigger than you usually do. You drove the one person keeping us alive to suicide, and I will never forgive you for that!" Then I directed this next part to the rest of the council. "I ain't forgiving any of you so-called judges for that! You doomed us all because you never listened! So I'm going to spend the rest of whatever times left for this multiverse with people who actually care and listen. And if you dare even think about hurting them, I'll drive a bone so far down your throats you'll grow a tail out your ***!"
I turned away from the gaping crowd to leave when someone grabbed my arm. I looked up, glaring at Stretch, who thinks he has the right to control me.
"Blueberry, we are going home now! We need to talk." Right hook to the jaw. He stumbled back from my punch, having lost his cigarette in the process. "Why would you do that?! I'm your brother!" And here I thought he couldn't piss me off more.
"You are not my brother." His eyes widened and were threatened with tears as I continued. "My brother died three days ago."
"N-no, I didn't. Maybe if we take you back home, get you your scarf, t-then maybe whatever's making you act this way will go away." Oh, that hope in his eyes. Time to crush it.
"My scarf? You mean that collar you forced me to wear? My chains? It's right here." I pulled out the rags from earlier and slowly sprinkled it on the ground while speaking. "The chains that kept me from growing, from freedom, from being myself, all because you forgot who raised whom. I promised my real brother I would lie low to avoid punishment, but now he's gone. And it's all your fault. Have fun finding out the consequences."
With that, I left. A pile of shredded cloth and a broken monster right behind me surrounded by confused and horrified skeletons watching me go through the portal to my true home.
Nightmare's Castle.
I quickly closed the portal behind me so they couldn't trace it to the small pocket of the anti void it resides in. Very few places were safe from its dangers, and he was the one who was able to recode it into someplace livable.  He was able to code in the castle, a forest to surround it, and even a sky with its own day/night rotation, and yet he stayed in that same spot where he went insane at with minimal changes.
"He really was the strongest of us all." No one but myself heard my words as I opened the front door to get inside. Immediately I heard the crying coming from the living room. I rushed down the hall to see the rest of the gang, my family, in mourning. Horror sat at the counter swirling around a cup in his hand; Killer was in the corner sitting with his face towards the wall, silently sobbing; Cross had just thrown something out the window, tears still streaming down his face; Dust and Fresh were sitting back-to-back in front of the couch, both with emotionless faces; Geno and Reaper were comforting each other on the sofa, Reaper doing most of the comforting for his mate. Someone's missing.
"Where's Nightmare?" Only a couple of them looked at me from their spots, despair in their eyes. Cross pointed in the direction of the bedrooms. I hurried in that direction, but not before I gave him a hug while leading him to a chair. As I rushed down the hall, I noticed some broken pieces of furniture and more broken windows along the way. The only thing that wasn't broken was a picture of the whole gang relaxing in Outertale. I don't think any of us will ever look at that place the same way ever again.
Soon enough, I find myself knocking on a black door that opens to Nightmare's bedroom.
Knock knock.
No answer.
"Nightmare? I'm coming in!" The door was locked, so I teleported into the wrecked bedroom. Wait. What?  Books were thrown from the shelves, the bed torn to shreds, his desk was upside down and hanging out the window, anything with a hinge was hanging from it, but no sign of the goopy skeleton. Instead, a small, pure white skeleton in royal purple clothes sat crying in the corner, skull buried in his arms.
I made my way around the wreckage to him and sat down. Tenderly I wrapped my arm around his shoulder, pulling him closer to me.
"It's all my fault." I looked at him in confusion. I would ask why he thought that, but he already started answering. "I felt his negativity. If I had reacted sooner, I could have been there. I could have saved him. If I was faste-"
"Hush! Thinking like this isn't good! You of all people know that."
"But Blue I-" he looked up at me, so I took the chance to cup his face with my hands.
"But nothing. We all knew the extremes Ink would take. We all knew that Error was considering," I choked on my words as the tears I thought were finally dry started again, "that. We all wish we could have done something different, but that wish won't come true. What's done is done. Nothing we can do can change that, no matter how much we miss him. For now, we need to stick together for as long as we can. The gang needs you. I need you." He stared at me before burying his face into my chest, sobbing as we pulled each other into a hug. We stayed there crying for who knows how long before he popped up.
"The others! I've ignored them for too long! I need to check on them!" He stood and dragged me up with him. As he hurried out the door, with me in tow, he summoned most of his goop back. I caught up so we could walk side by side back to the living room. As we did, he noticed something.
"Isn't that the vest I got you for your birthday?"
"Yep! It was the talk of the party!" We both chuckled as we approached the door. Silently we opened it to find everyone exactly where they were when I last left them.
Swiftly Nightmare grabbed the three furthest from the group and pulled them closer as he joined the couple on the couch. Once everyone was there, he pulled them all in for a hug, Reaper included, since he was wearing this magic stabilizer, which turns off his death touch.
"I'm sorry I left you alone. I'll never do it again, I promise." It seemed as though they all woke up because they all started sobbing while returning the hug. I joined in while getting close enough to Nightmare so that our foreheads touched. We all silently promised each other that we'll stick together until the end.
And that we'll make them all pay for what they did to Error.

So there are a couple of reasons why  I decided to write this.
1. This book already reached 1k views, like seriously?! I started publishing this just over a month ago! Two of these chapters aren't even chapters! So thank you ssssssssssssoooooooooooooooo much! The people in this fandom are awe-mazing!
2. I learned that it's Crossy's birthday today. So happy birthday to our favorite Oreo! Sorry I didn't put you in a happier chapter. Which brings me to reason number
3. I wanted to show what's happening back in Erratum's old multiverse and thought that the first reason would be a good time to do so.
Might do more special chapters like this every thousand views or so, depending on which milestone I reach next. Either they'll show what's happening on the other side, or it'll be a memory. Depends on what I feel like writing.
And again, thank you for reading and liking this book so far. Readers like you fill writers like me with
DETERMINATION.
