The summer of 2001...

A cute little girl, wearing a light orange dress was happily roaming in the grass field, her blonde hair was freely loose at her back.

While she find something to play with, she heard voices coming from afar. Being the curious cat like her, she couldn't help but to take a peek.

The tree is just enough to cover her tiny figure.

Her eyes grew wide when she saw 4 kids bullying a small chubby boy.

"Jimin! You look fat!"

"Hahaha! Does anyone still love you??"

"Of course none! He's so fat! Who would love him??"

"Hahahaha"

She took a step, hoping to stop them but...

"Chaeee! Where are you?"

"Here!!" She responded and ran back to the woman who called her.

"I'll be back tomorrow...I'll save him!" she uttered and smiled widely while approaching her mother.

Another day came and she eventually came at the right spot. The sun is about to set but none showed up, just before she leaves she thought of another great idea to have fun.

"Guys--" she stopped midway upon realizing that she forgot the name of the boy

Was that Chimin? Chimmy? Jimmy??

"Guys!!!! Chimin is here!!!" She screamed, hoping that he'd find the cute chubby boy after yelling his name.

But instead of the person she wanted to see, bunch of kids came, she immediately recognized those bullies who made fun of the boy yesterday.

"Where is he??"

"Aww! Where is that fat kid???"

"You said he's here!"

"Where's Jimin? Do you know him? He's a fat boy and no one loves him--"

"But I do!!!" The little girl claimed and held her head high, the other kids looked at her in digust before pushing her and ran away.

"Why did you push me!!! I was telling the truth! I love him!!!!" She cried out but everyone already left.

If no one loves him...I will...

The next day she went back to the same place.

"Guys! Chimin is with me and I love him!!!" She cried once again, all the kids came rushing but stopped, when they saw that she was alone, without the fat kid they've been looking for.

"Stop making fun of us!" The tall boy threatened and pushed Chaeyoung on the ground.

The boy Chimin is not with her, but she was right about one thing..

She loves him...

"Those kids!" Was all Chaeyoung can say before sitting beneath the tree.

Will she see him again? was all she thought before standing up.

"Y-You...why did you do that?" She looked back and her eyes twinkled upon seeing the chubby boy she's been looking for.

"Omg!!!! You're here!!!! Guys! This time I'm serious! Chimin is here!!!!! And I will love him!!!" She screamed happily but the kids glared at her and left her behind.

"W-Wait...he's--"

She looked at the boy disappointingly and sat on the ground.

"Y-You will love me?" The boy asked and crouched down to meet her gaze.

The little girl nodded simultaneously without a 2nd thought.

"I will--"

"Chaeee!!! The sun is setting!"

"Welp! That's my call! Bye bye Chimin! See yah soon!" The little girl said and ran away, slowly disappearing on his sight.

It's been a week and the little boy showed up every single afternoon on the same spot, but no one came.

"Young master...we should--"

"Wait! I-I'm going to ask around" the boy spoke fearlessly and ran down the hill to meet a few kids.

"Young master!" The old guy in his 30's came running with him.

"Hi!" The boy gathered her courage to ask the question.

"What is it?"

"Have you seen her?"

"Seen who?"

"Have you seen 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗜𝗥𝗟 𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐃 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄?"
