Chapter: 21

I woke up to arms tightly around my waist. I looked down then rolled over into his chest. He tightened his hold. One of his legs went over my legs. I could tell he was sleeping in his favorite way. He took a deep breath sighing before kissing the top of my head.

"I know your not asleep." He said. I wrapped my arms around him and fell back asleep. He grumbled once more before wrapping his arms around me and stilling. We woke up later in the day when his late alarm went off. I sat up on the bed lightly stretching. Ranger sat up on the edge of the bed stretching. He got up and walked to the bathroom bare. Ive gotten so used to him sleeping like that, that Im not phased by it anymore.

I got up and dressed starting the coffee pot for four cups. He likes hot coffee while I like cold brew coffee during the summer. He came up behind me as I started breakfast. Usually he's really good at getting dressed after getting out of bed. He took over on breakfast while I did my morning routine. We ate breakfast together before he and I went out to take care of the horses. He's still talking about wanting a steer wrestling horse.

I've found one and want to go get him after this event, but I don't want Ranger going with me. This will be his birthday present in August. I may go get it closer to his birthday. Hes borrowing one of his dad's cow ponies for the summer and will have to give it back before the end of July. CIFR was hard to get to this year.

I kept at it and worked my butt off to get here. Ranger was proud of me getting here when he could not. He's going to try next year to get here while I won't be able to since I will not be with a college rodeo team. This summer will be a blast. I believe Jax is going to join us along with the guy he's dating.

He will finally get to meet the infamous Ranger that I keep going on and on about. I've got to work hard though to get to NFR this fall. Ranger knows it. He wants me to go too. He's never been and wants to go with me. I want to take him to NFR with me.

Athletes that get to NFR get half of their price taken off a hotel stay with the M Resorts. I think this year, We'll stay at Mandalay Bay just for the heck of it. Then stay at MGM Grand next year. Yup that's what we're going to do. Chances are, Ranger won't care where we stay as long as we are in the same room.

And knowing my uncle and cousin they will want to pay for half of the room just as a Christmas present. I could care less about if they paid for the room or not. I would hate for Ranger to think I'm some spoiled person when I argue with my family about spending money on me. I even argue with him about that!

We finally came up with a solution to it. If he buys dinner tonight then I buy tomorrow night. If I buy lunch today, he buys tomorrow. We both pitch in on breakfast though. It's how we don't argue over who is buying which meal. Even though he wants to pay for everything. He's learned that I'm just as stubborn as he can be.

And he knows I can prove it. He just knows how to keep cool under pressure with me knowing I could get the upper hand if he doesn't jump in and stay at my level.
