When I woke up I was connected to wires, tubing and everything they could think of in a hospital. I didn't know where I was in the hospital. I looked around the room not finding anything that told me why I was here. Ranger came into the room a moment later.

"Hey baby girl. How are you feeling?" He asked. I looked around the room. "Your gynecologist came by after hearing that you were admitted to the hospital the night before you had an appointment." He said. "She was able to give the doctor here insight about what was going on. I wish you could have texted me that you felt like that earlier in the day. I knew you didn't feel good, I was wondering how bad you truly felt baby."

He kissed my forehead. "The doctor does have news for you. They refused to tell me because you are not my wife yet." He said. I nodded. "Hey." I looked up at him. "I know you still don't feel good baby." He said. He laid down next to me. I curled up next to him. The door opened. A nurse walked in. She did not look happy that Ranger was in the bed with me.

I was still cramping pretty bad but they didn't hurt like they did at first. I looked up at the pump. Then curled up a little closer to Ranger. "I am needing to evaluate her." The nurse said. I flipped her off. I would rather have an ob/gyn nurse or a birth center nurse than an ICU or medsurg nurse.

"This is how she was feeling the day I brought her in." He said. "Baby. How bad do you hurt?" Ranger asked. "Was it as bad as when they started?" I shook my head. "That's good." The nurse said. "Still bleeding but it has lightened up." She added. The door opened again. My gynecologist came in. "I'm glad to see you awake. I do have some news that would have been answered at your appointment. Do you want him in the room too?" She asked.

The nurse left the room. I nodded. "It seems you had a miscarriage." She said. I furrowed my brows. "How?" Ranger asked. "Unprotected sex, birth control falling through, there are about three more things that could have caused it." She said. "We've always had protected sex." I rasped.

"I know baby." Ranger said. "I know contraception isn't always one hundred percent. It could have happened when a condom broke or other barrier devices failed. We are wanting to keep you in the hospital until we are for sure that there is no infection." She said. I nodded.

I was in the hospital until the bleeding stopped. And a day more. The second day I was awake, Ranger brought me my laptop and did his classes online while I was in the hospital. When I finally got to go home, I was happy to be in a familiar bed. Ranger just wanted to cuddle with me. It's almost February and we have not discussed anything on the wedding.

I decided to wear one of his long sleeve shirts and a pair of sweat pants to visit him after his morning class. He looked curious when he saw me. "What are you doing on campus?" He asked. "I just wanted to see you Ranger." I said. He kissed my forehead as he hugged me. I hugged him back like always. I walked with him through the coffee shop where we got lunch before walking to his next class.

"I really wanted to talk to you about when we are going to have the wedding." I said as I held onto his free arm. "Pick a season, find a dress, I will not care what the date is baby." He said. "You sure?" I asked him. "I'm sure. Even if it's a Vegas wedding with Elvis." He said chuckling. We made it to his class. "Go ahead and start looking baby. I'll be home about four." He said. He leaned down as I stood on my tip toes to reach him to kiss.

"I'll be at the house." I told him. I went back to the house and found some colors that would work as well as a potential spot. When Ranger got home, I shared the few venues I found. "What if we did a church for the ceremony to keep the grandparents and a few traditional members happy then move the reception to Four Bar K.

"We can have the ceremony close to dinner time, and have dinner at the reception. Then dance drink and have fun later in the night." I said. "When?" He asked. "When do you graduate?" I asked. "End of may." He said. "We can plan it for the first of June, call now and have it booked with food and everything before they fill up and if they don't have anything until maybe August or early September I wouldn't mind." I told him.

"It's whatever you want baby." He said. I kissed his cheek. "How about we go look at it and set it up in person?" He asked. "You call about that." I told him. He chuckled. "I'm on it baby." He said before moving away from the bed.
