I Wish I Was Special

Chapter 24

I was kind of nervous to tell about this to my best friend, Andrew. No, my crush.

"So, I'm going to London 3 days before Christmas." I said.

But, he smiled.

"That's cool!" He said.

I pouted and then he asked me, "What's wrong?"
I answered him, "You're going to miss me." He smiled at me again, "I know." Maybe, he faked his smile.

3 days before Christmas...

We arrived in London at 7.30 pm.

Ruby booked a hotel for me and my mom.
Then, Ruby asked us to have a dinner with his husband.
His husband was so friendly to me and my mom.

We were at the Zucca restaurant.
Ruby's husband paid the dinner for us.
I asked them, "So, where is your daughter?"

Ruby looked at his husband,
"You will meet her, Jessie!" Her husband said.
I smiled.

My mom enjoyed the dinner so I enjoyed mine too.

I had to see my dad.
Ruby had my dad's number so I asked my dad's number.

Then, I phoned him.

What?

There was no answer.

I tried again. There was no answer. I was so panic.

We left the restaurant by taxi.

We were on our way to the hotel.

I leaned back on the bed, then my mom asked me, "What's going on?" then I answered her as I was on the phone scrolling vines, "Uhm, I miss dad." "Wait, he will call you. Trust me." My mom said, "Go to sleep, Jessie. It's almost midnight!" "Okay!"

2 days before Christmas...

Next morning, I woke up late than my mom. I checked my phone a lot of times waiting for my dad.

I got in the shower and I then brushed my teeth. Well, I had to shower too.

Holly CRAP! My dad phoned me while I was brushing my teeth and I heard the sound of his voice,
"Jessie, my daughter! Good Morning!"
I just brushed my teeth and I said,
"Good morning dad! I miss you so much. Well, how are you? I'm in London too for christmas vacation!"
"I'm good. I'm at the apartment with some friends. Well, I'm going to meet you tonight and I'm going to spend the holidays with you!"

I was so excited.
"I can't wait to see you, dad!" I said.
"I can't wait to see my beautiful wife too and you. See you tonight!"

4 hours later...

I sent Andrew a message,
"Andrew!"
"Yeah? How are you?"
"I'm fine and I love London so much!"
He laughed.
"Welcome to London, Jessica. Enjoy your holidays!"
"Thankssss!"

I couldn't wait to see my dad tonight.
I missed him so much.

Ruby knocked the door and asked us out. I wanted to see her daughter too.
So we went to her husband's mother's house in London because her daughter stayed there.

Now, we were at her husband's mother's house.
We entered the house and my mom smelt a good taste in the house. My mom asked Ruby, "Ruby, is his mother cooking?" and her husband laughed, "Yes. She is."

Her husband opened the door for us and he was such a very cool man ever.

I saw a girl sitting in the living room and she was reading a book by the christmas tree. That was Ruby's daughter.
