Lori POV
real talk...i don't even know where to begin.
i mean, i guess i could start at when i first met Peter, my (slightly) obnoxious neighbor, but then i'd be skipping some kinda important stuff.
i'll just start on the the day i was supposed to leave...
October 11, 2020
" soooo...this is it huh?" my mom sighs, shoving her hands in her front pockets.
i look up at our old apartment complex.considering it was, like, actual shit hole and everything always broke and im about 98.6% sure our neighbors were in some sort of cult.
But even with all that...i should be happy to leave right? i should be fucking elated. but nope. ANGST.
pure unadulterated, 2009 style, angst. complete with 'Welcone to the Black Parade' blasting in the background.
i'm gonna miss this shit hole .. like, it was my (and my moms) shit hole.
Now we're moving to London. the land of tea and chavs (chaves?)
my mom got this huge job over there and well there was nothing here for us in inner city detroit so.. why not, what could go wrong?
"alright, let's hit the road girly, we cannot miss this flight."
i bury my face deeper in my jacket, damn😔 winter ain't even here yet and it's already freezing.
"let's goo.. can i drive?"
my mom rolls her head to the side, puffing out her cheeks then exhaling.
"you better not make us late."
i bring my hand to my chest, feigning insult,
"i am shocked, i would never."
"okayy" she says walking to the passenger side and opening the door, "i'm holding you to that.""alrighty." i say walking to the door
ten excruciating minutes later....
we were late...
barely tho so don't @ me
