johnnys pov:
i used my free period to make a small surprise for annie.
homecoming is coming up and i wanted her to be my date, but first i need to ask her.
i also wanted her to come to my soccer game next week and the dance would be on saturday.
i only go to these type of things for the soccer team, but this time maybe different if she says yes.
i got some help from her sister because we were in the same study hall class.
she didn't know who i was, so i guess annie never mentioned me at home.
she said her sister was her best friend so it's kinda strange.
or maybe i'm just being stupid and i mean nothing to her.
i don't really know what to think.
i waited for annie outside her psychology class.
and a few minutes after the bell rang she walked out.
a: hey
she says grabbing my arm.
pulling me the opposite direction.
j: where are we going?
a: i have to make up a test.
j: right now?
a: yeah i missed apes this morning, because of you so i have to take it now.
she says grinning at me.
i grab her hands to keep her from walking.
j: can i just show you something really really quick!
a: why do you keep wanting to show me things.
j: really quick. come on.
i say pulling her wrist.
a: okay okay.
we walk together holding hands and i lead her to the gymnastics room.
kenzie, nadia, ruby, and hayley are all in there playing still sane by lorde.
holding roses from the garden club that i stole.
and balloons and a poster that said "i'd FLIP if you said yes. hoco?"
a: oh my gosh what is this?
she says to me smiling
we walk closer to everyone.
j: i wanted to know if you'd be my date to the dance?
a: you wanna go with me?
she says really soft.
j: obviously.
a: yes i'll go with you.
her friends start to scream and i pull annie into a hug.
she buried her head in my chest, i could tell she was nervous.
k: wait i need pictures!
h$: yes just wait till i show mom!
annie doesn't respond to that.
she just held the flowers and i held the poster and we posed for a picture.
k: so adorable!
a few seconds after the bell rung
a: oh my gosh my test.
j: here let me walk you.
i say grabbing her hands.
a: bye guys, love you
all: love you too.
they say making faces at her.
a: i can't believe you did that.
j: why did you not like it! you could've said no-
a: no no no, i loved it. i meant in a good way.
j: you really wanna go with me?
a: yes.
she says without hesitation.
j: annie i lo-
then the second bell rang.
a: i'm so sorry tell me later!
she says running off.
but then she came back and kissed my cheek.
then ran off again.
