Walking for half an hour in silence, they had reached what Maggie thought of as a venue of a food bazaar. Unsure of how to react, she gave Damian a puzzled look before turning all her attention back towards the crowded area. With the soft blow of wind, her senses were filled with a mixture of different scents that had her mouth water instantly.

“Here?” Maggie asked, glancing around the crowded open space.

“I told you to dress casually, did I not?” Damian replied.

“Yes, you did.” Maggie took one more sniff and she had the feeling of starvation that she had before the actor had arrived at her doorstep.

Letting her eyes roam around the place, she found a kiosk that appeared to have been serving colorful cakes of different sizes. Her throat worked involuntarily at the sight of the tasty-looking delicacies lined up on the lace-covered table near from the entrance of the venue.

“They look inviting.” The actor comment from beside her.

“Yes, they absolutely do.”

“How about we go in and check the food stalls out?” Damian suggested to which Maggie agreed to excitedly.

Checking out one stall after another, they were able to have a taste of various cuisines from Chinese to Vietnamese and even French. Finally, they settled on a Japanese food stall where they ordered a plate of gyoza that they could share.

Not being one for chopsticks, Maggie picked up a piece of already cooling gyoza off the plate with her fingers and took a bite off of it. She could not help but moan out loud, something that she would unconsciously when something tasty touches her tongue.

“Oops! Sorry about that.” The nurse covered her mouth with her hand as she swallowed the remaining bits in her mouth. “That was delicious.”

“I bet it is.” Damian spoke with an emotionless tone.

Maggie shot him a look and was surprised that he was at the verge of laughing out loud. She made face at him before popping the rest of the gyoza still clamped between her fingers.

She watched the copper-haired man as he ate his own piece of gyoza from the plate of four. His eyelids narrowed into slits which then opened widely, allowing light to reflect on his sapphire-colored orbs.

“How was it?” Maggie asked.

“Too garlicky for my taste.” He replied.

“Well, that’s how gyoza’s supposed to be, you know?” she stifled a giggle, offering him a paper cup of iced tea as offered by the man behind the counter.

Damian drowned down the beverage and placed the empty cup gently back on the surface of the counter. When Maggie offered the plate of gyoza to him, he waved his hand signalling that he no longer wanted his share of it. The nurse shrugged at that and silently ate the rest of the two other pieces on the dish.

Maggie was about to pull out her wallet from inside her sweater when Damian’s hand shot out to grab her arm. He shook his head and withdrew his black wallet from the inside pocket of his leather jacket.

Moving on with their search for good food, the walked side by side along the crowded path once again. Seeing so many delectable-looking foods, Maggie felt like she wanted to stop by and have a taste of the food offered by each of the kiosks. However, she also thought of how embarrassing it would be to pig out especially with someone like Damian Williams. That was an undeniable turn off.

Not that she was trying to turn him on.

Not like she could actually turn him on.

Maggie could not help but shudder at the thought.
