The car ride to the air port was only a half hour but it seemed like hours. ' Ready to go find out where you're going?' My mom said to me with extreme excitement. My mother could see the excitement grow on my face as we walked into the air port and it was like no place I had ever been before. I have been to an air port but no tin a long time, it had to have been 10 years now, almost 11. This vacation must be my 19th birthday present! Just as we started for our gate my mom handed me my ticket. I looked down to see the words VANCOUVER written through the middle.
Holy shit was all I could think, the only words I could say was 'ughh, umm, what!, is this a joke?' And all my parents could do was laugh and smile at me. Thoughts ran through my head thoughts like 'What if they say i can go to school here?' 'What if i see Josh, Matt, Mike, and Ian?!' This was gonna be good, and the plus I can ignore all the rude comments cause i'll be walking Vancouver by myself with no way to communicate with anyone but my parents.
I was sitting on the plane between a old man who smelt like strawberries and mint and a older women, who insisted on talking about how cute the old man looked or how sweetly he smelled. I swear after this i will not go on another plane, i'll just drive to another country, and just stay in canada or go to the states, you know places you can drive to. I decided it was time to take a nap and try and sleep before we got there.
