After that certain day, the rivalry infused by Taehyung died down. And it was because of none other than Kim Taehyung himself. There were no more snide remarks nor any kind of abrupt declaration of how he was going to beat Jimin in the next test.

On the contrary to everyone's utter surprise there was rather a playful atmosphere between Taehyung and Jimin. That also started by no one other than Taehyung. Jimin always not so subtly brushed off the other.

But did that stop Taehyung from all this? Nope, simply it didn't. That went on for a long period of time till somehow one day Jimin agreed to go on a date with Taehyung. And Taehyung couldn't be more excited about it. Although Taehyung wasn't really sure about how he felt for the other boy, he sure liked whatever had happened between them. He loved the spark they had between them.

So they went on a date. That date being the worst date in human history and the day being the most regretful day of Taehyung's life.

The course of the date itself wasn't a big deal. It was a simple sweet date planned by Taehyung which consisted of watching a movie, eating ice-cream at his favourite ice-cream parlour then to ask him out by giving him some pretty flowers.

Sounds simple, isn't it? Well, it would have been if Taehyung would not have been fool enough to forget to buy tickets for the movie beforehand as they could not get the tickets for the movie they wanted to watch, thus making them end up watching some other utterly boring movie.

Taehyung was disappointed about that but he was sure he could make it up by a delicious ice-cream at his favourite parlour. But to his disappointment it had to be closed that day.

The last setback was when Taehyung couldn't spot a single flower shop throughout his course. And before he knew it, the date ended in utter failure as they stood in front of Jimin's house. At that point Taehyung was not even sure if he should ask out the other. He concluded he should take the other to another better date than this and should ask out him then.

He was ready to bid farewell and part way with Jimin. Though surprisingly Jimin tugged on Taehyung's shirt making him halt and asked if he was forgetting anything.

Taehyung with furrowed brows stood dumbly wondering what Jimin telling him that he forgot. Jimin waited for a few seconds, the other to realize it on his own. But some time passed like that and Jimin lost his patience.

Consequently Jimin decided to take the first step as he pressed their lips in a short and sweet kiss. Taehyung was a bit baffled for a second but he quickly let go of that and brought the other boy by his waist to a long and hungry kiss.

The kiss certainly managed to give some much needed courage to the boy and he pulled back to say what he was supposed to say.

‘Will you-’ Taehyung started hesitantly but was soon cut off by the other.

‘YES!’ Jimin shouted.

‘Huh?’ Taehyung peered at Jimin with a confused expression.

‘Yes dummy. Yes, I will go out with you,’ Jimin said, now quietly, and Taehyung smiled at him with a hundred words behind his auburn eyes.
