Park Jimin was a passive child growing up

Park Jimin was a passive child growing up. He has always been shy and dull. At the stage where kids are full of uncontrolled energy, he was withdrawn and self contained. He looked insipid, lifeless and flat, devoid of any lively expression. His eyes didn't sparkle nor did they shone bright, he mostly never laughed or smiled either in their classroom or in his home.

The reasons would have the lack of attention and affection from his early childhood. His eyes seemed as if they were always searching for something in their subconscious mind. If it was not for the brilliant mind of his, he would have gone unnoticed in his classroom.

After one year gap from school, when he started middle school he thought it was going to be a nightmare. In reality it wasn't as bad as he thought would be. Well it was pretty bad as everyone was already in groups and his timidness didn't help at all.

On the other hand he could not complain. At least no one was picking on him. He was pretty much invisible to everyone's eyes. He was just a new transfer student with a big school uniform, thick round glasses and a ugly bowl haircut that nobody cared about.

When Taehyung started his daily routine of trying to belittle him, kids started to notice him. Though nothing much changed except kids in his class knew his name and knew Taehyung hated his guts. His daily life continued like before except there was constant bickering.

But eventually that came to an end when the words got out that he and Taehyung were dating. He was no longer an invisible boy in the class. Everyone recognised the boy. Everyone knew him as the school's popular boy's boyfriend rather than the boy who gets the best grades in the glass.

And soon after that their relationship started to brittle like a dried leaf. In the end breaking too easily. It was really a hard thing for Jimin to do as he knew it was not Taehyung's fault and that it was out of the blue for Taehyung. He knew it wasn't going to be fair to Taehyung.

Nonetheless he broke up with him looking forward to a new start. At last maybe he would be making a genuine friend who didn't just care about his outer appearance or he was the boyfriend of Taehyung. And he won't have to spend his whole day at school sitting alone at his desk.

Yes, high school was the key to his new start in his life. And he thought maybe he could make a new fresh beginning. But all his confidence went to drain when he saw none other than the familiar red haired ex-boyfriend of his in the sea of high schoolers.

If it was not his worst nightmare, then he didn't know what it was. He literally forgot Taehyung had gotten into the same school as him. He had done it for him in the first place, so that they could be still together in high school but it wasn't working in his favour right now.

And later again he was left to sit all alone. His plan of having a new life ended soon and with no excuse just left he comforted himself thinking at least he was not being an outcast nor he was attracting any kind of attention. He was just relieved that he was not in the same class as Taehyung. He would sometimes catch the sight of Taehyung with his friends, laughing and enjoying like before and wonder why he can't be like him.
