After the show, Waverly and Wynonna were sitting at the bar having another beer when a certain red headed guitarist approached them.
"Well if it isn't the pretty girl who helped me get my locker open this morning," the girl said, holding her hand out to shake the smaller girl's hand. Waverly blushed but took the hand and shook it. " I don't believe we have been formally introduced. You know my name now, but I still don't know yours." Nicole said, letting their hands touch a little longer than necessary. Waverly felt her hand getting all sweaty and pulled it back, immediately wishing she could put it back after she wiped it off on her pants.
"I'm Waverly," she said with a smile and then gestured you her sister next to her. "And this is my sister Wynonna." Wynonna was looking like she was about to lose her shit, and Waverly prayed she wouldn't run off the taller girl with her fangirling. If she could keep her shit together when everything in her body was telling her to climb the taller girl like the tree she was, then so could her sister.
"WHAT THE FUCK WAVERYLY???? You go to school with the guitarist from Wicked and you didn't tell me?????" Wynonna set her beer on the counter and looked at Nicole. Waverly rolled her eyes. "In my defense," she said throwing her hands up in the air, " I was completely unaware until the show started." She stated with a laugh. Nicole snickered a little as she spoke. "Not to mention we just saw each other for the first time this morning. I'm new in town and doing the whole school scene while I'm off tour. We're taking a year or so off the road because honestly it's a bit exhausting at times ."
Nicole turned to face Waverly once more. "So what did you think of the show?" She asked. Waverly gave her a big smile, "Honestly, rock music isn't really my thing, but I think you might change that for me." She saw Nicole blush and decided to keep going. "I really enjoyed it. Wynonna wasn't kidding when she said you were the best vocalist and guitarist she'd ever heard. I think I'll have to agree with her on something for once." Wynonna smirked, "Well it's about damn time. You never agree with anything I say."
Just then Nathan walked up next to his sister. Wynonna saw him and the beer she had just took a sip of came out of her nose. Waverly busted out laughing knowing it was because she had the hots for Mr. Haught. "Nonna, if I didn't know better, I'd say you're a little nervous." Waverly jabbed her in the side and Wynonna's face went beet red. "I am not!" She argued as the guy held his hand out and gave her his bandana to wipe her face with. He laughed and Nicole gave him a look. "Sorry if I spooked you dude. I just came to retrieve Cole here so we can start packing up equipment." He told the woman trying to hand him back his bandanna . He shook his head. "You can keep that one. I have like ten more at home." He said with a smile.
Waverly frowned. She wasn't ready for the red headed rock goddess to leave her just yet. Nicole noticed a change in the smaller girls face and she held up a finger to Waverly to insinuate for her to wait and would be right back. She turned and ran to grab her guitar from the stage. Waverly saw her writing something and in about five minutes, she came back. She was holding a folded up piece of paper. She handed it to Waverly and smiled. "You should open that when you get home." The smaller brunette took it, their fingers grazing just enough to send her heart into a frenzy... again. "Okay, she replied as she put it in her back pocket. "I meant what I said earlier. You guys really do have a rockin band. I think you played a pretty bitchin set tonight and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to borrow Wy's tape collection now." Nicole flashed those dimples at her again. Fuckin a. She's gonna be the death of me. Waverly thought as Nicole began to speak again.
"Let me know what ya think pretty lady! I have to help Nathan pack up though but I'll see you soon. Don't forget to read that note!" She told her as she was walking backwards towards the stage, not breaking eye contact with the hazel eyed girl. That's probably why she bumped into the waiter and had begun apologizing profusely for her clumsiness. Waverly found it adorable.

Later that night, Waverly was getting ready for bed when she remembered the paper in her back pocket. She took it out and placed it on the dresser as she got undressed then put on her sweat pants and her sports bra. When she was finished, she grabbed the note and took it to the bed with her. She plopped down on the mattress and began unfolding it. Almost immediately she noticed something fall out. She looked in her lap and noticed the red pick she'd seen in Nicole's mouth when she was tuning her guitar. She felt a ridiculously large smile take over her face. She looked at it for a second more before placing it on her bedside table, and then she began to read.
Hey Pretty Girl, the note began. I just wanted to say thanks for coming to the show (and for helping me with my locker). I'm not sure if this is too forward, but I'd love to be able to hang out with you more? Maybe you could come to rehearsals or something this weekend? The band will be here tomorrow and we're gonna be hanging out in the garage all day, but you are more than welcome to join us. Give me a call after you read this! If you want to... You don't have to, but I'd like to hear your voice again.

Also: Don't think I didn't see you checking me out when I was on stage. Hope the pick is a decent reminder ;)

Waverly read the note at least three times, her smile only getting bigger each time she read it. She looked at the number written on the bottom of the paper for a few minutes before getting up to yell at Wynonna to stay off the internet for a bit so she could use the phone and then she shut and locked her door.
She walked over to the telephone she had next to her bed. She loved that thing. It was completely see through and it had this rad new ringer that was digital instead of that annoying dinging sound. Not to mention that it lit up with rainbow lights whenever she used it or it rang. That was so cool and it was honestly the best present Wynonna had ever given her.
She picked it up off the receiver and dialed the number. After a few rings, she heard someone pick up the phone. "Is that you, Pretty Girl?" A voice said on the other end of the phone and her heart melted right then and there.
