The tour was wild! At least that's what Waverly Earp thought as they checked into their third hotel room for the week. They'd been on the road for a couple of months and they still had about three weeks left before it wrapped up. She'd seen so many bands that she hadn't even cared to listen to before, but when she got free front row seats to every single show, who was she to complain?
"Babe! That was one hell of a show! I didn't even know Green Day would be there!!!" Waverly said to Nicole, who was seated on the corner of the bed, taking off her converses. "You did pretty well too." She added, walking over and kissing her girlfriend softly on the lips.  "I'm so proud of you baby!"
Nicole giggled a little as she put her shoes down at the foot of the bed and wrapped her arms around the smaller girl, pulling her into a hug where she could bury her face into her lover's stomach.  "I'm exhausted though. The rush is insane when I'm on stage, but every time I step off it I feel so tired. It's almost like I'm coming down or something." Waverly ran her fingers through red locks. "That's because music gets you high, love. It does that for a lot of people. Plus you work really hard up there dude. I don't see how you couldn't be tired after all of that."
Waverly untangled herself from the redheads arms and plopped down into her lap instead, turning to straddle her, face on.  "Are you okay baby?" She asked, genuine concern on her face. Nicole had been acting a little weird the past couple days, and she was bound and determined to get to the bottom of it.  "If something is going on, you can tell me." She continued, grabbing one of Nicole's hands and kissing the underside.
She felt the body underneath her sigh. Nicole hadn't said anything yet, but she could tell that her girlfriend was just trying to figure out how to say whatever it was that was going through her pretty little head. Nicole has always been more than patient with her, and she would show her the same courtesy.
Nicole looked up at Waverly with sad eyes. Something had been bothering her, and it had been for a long time. She just didn't know how to say it. She was pretty sure she didn't want to perform anymore. Not like completely stop playing or anything like that, but she was ready to settle down. Sure, she could still play shows at Shorty's or something now and then. Touring was just way too tiring. It's non stop and although it had it's benefits, the bad was starting to outweigh the good. At least in her mind anyway.
"What would you say if I told you that when this tour is over, I'd like to step away from all of it?" The readhead asked the brunette. Waverly looked confused. "What do you mean Nic?" She asked, absentmindedly running her hand up and down her girlfriend's arm soothingly. Nicole shrugged. "I mean I don't want to go on tour anymore. I want to settle down. At home. With you." She admitted, looking at the floor now, embarrassed to meet the smaller woman's gaze.
A soft hand cupped her chin and lifted it up to where she was looking into hazel eyes. "Nicole Haught! I can't believe you even have to ask me that!" Waverly pressed a kiss to her forehead and pulled her in for a hug. "If you don't want to do this anymore, than I fully support you. And if you do? Well, I'll support that too. I didn't fall in love with you because of the music. I fell in love with you because you're kind, gentle, and a sweet soul. I'm behind you all the way."
Nicole held on tighter. She should have known Waverly would have been okay with this. She was always the level headed of the two of them. A literal ray of light, that one. "I love you Waves." She said softly, pressing kisses into her hair. "Like so much. You don't even know. There's no way you could." Waverly smiled. "Oh, I think I do. Because I feel the exact same way. Sometimes it's almost overwhelming, but in the best way. I can't imagine a life without you in it now. You're it for me Haught."
Damn, Nicole thought you herself. Maybe I should get started on that ring search? She smiled to herself at the thought of Waverly in a white dress. Yup. I'm definitely getting her a ring soon.
