The garage was definitely a change of scenery. It was HUGE. There was a built in bar off to the far right side of the wall. There was a mini fridge full of drinks, anything from beer to water. There was a couch and a few chairs surrounding a small coffee table that had some cards leftover from a previous poker game, at least that's what Waverly assumed. Posters of famous musicians hung everywhere! Waverly was pretty sure she just entered a man cave, but she wasn't complaining.
Up front towards the big doors of the three car garage sat all the instruments. There was a drum set, a few guitars, and a couple bass guitars as well. To the left of the drum set sat a rather large keyboard, and directly in front stood of each instrument stood a mic.
"What do you think?" Nicole asked and Waverly squeezed her hand. "It looks amazing in here!" She replied. She really couldn't understand what the redhead could ever see in her. This was out of her world. Not to say she wasn't loving it, but still.
Nicole led her over to the couch so she could relax while she watched them rehearse. "Do you want another beer or something before we begin?" Nicole asked, walking towards the fridge to grab something for herself. "Just a water if you don't mind." Waverly responded and she watched the other girl pull out two bottles of water. She gave one of them to the smaller woman and then took a drink of her own before setting it down on the table. With a quick smile, she went over to greet the band and grabbed her guitar.
"What do you want to play today?" Nathan asked his sister, not oblivious to the heart eyes she and Waverly had been giving each other since the night before. "Any cutesy shit?" He said and Nicole shot him a death glare that had him all but rolling on the floor. "Will you shut up for like two seconds?" She said and began to make sure her gear was in tune. "Just for that, I'm gonna make this rehearsal Hell for you. Get ready for some Metallica."
Waverly beamed. She could see the determination in the taller woman's eyes and she knew this was gonna be good. Nathan rolled his eyes. "Dude why? You're girlfriend probably doesn't even like them!" Waverly pretended not to see the blush on Nicole's face and chose to ignore the fact that she didn't dispute that they weren't actually in a relationship. Instead, she watched her come alive when she put the pick to the strings.
The intro to Enter Sandman rang through Nicole's hands as she started. Waverly loved watching her play. She could see how relaxed and into it she was and she was pretty sure she was dying... again. And then she began to sing and holy fucking shit, this was the end. This was her passing on to the next life. Farewell world of old, hello to the goddess of her new world.
She hung on to every single word that emptied out of the ginger God's mouth. Taking a look at Nathan, she noticed he really was a sick bass player as well. She could totally see why Wynonna liked him. The song wouldn't have been half as good if there wasn't a bass line. And Andy was pretty wicked on the drums too! This front row experience to a private show was the best thing ever. That is until Nicole's guitar solo came up. Waverly suddenly realized she was pulling on more than just guitar strings.
When the song was over, the band took a break and Nicole came and took a seat next to Waverly, Nathan sitting on the other side of his older sister. Grabbing her water and taking a drink, she turned to face the smaller girl.
"So? What do you think so far?" She asked, her face flushed slightly from the workout her body just received. "Yeah," her brother chimes in. "What ya think?" He smirked at the other redhead and she punched him in his arm before turning back to Waverly. "Actually, I thought it was pretty wicked." She leaned over Nicole's lap to get Nathan's attention before continuing. "And for the record, I actually really like Metallica, thank you sir." She said with a giggle. He threw up his hands in defeat. "Alright, alright. No need to get all defensive Miss Earp. My sister will have my balls if she thinks I pissed you off." He laughed and Nicole just started at him with her mouth open. "Cole, come on. You know it's true." He said before getting up and heading back over to talk to Andy.
"I really did like the show Nic." Waverly told her, wrapping herself around Nicole's arm and leaning her head on her shoulder. "And you really are a rock god. I still stand by Wynonna on this and I totally get why she's so jealous right now."
Nicole flashed her dimples. "Why is she jealous? She could have came too." She informed her. Waverly just shrugged. "I think she likes your brother, but that will go away. Wynonna doesn't actually do relationships." Nicole turned to face Waverly and grabbed her hands. "And what about you, Tiny Earp?" Waverly blushed and playfully smacked her arm. "You can't call me that! Wynonna is the only one allowed to do that." She said with a laugh. "Well what do you want me to call you then?" Nicole asked as she rubbed her arm pretending to be in pain but the smile on her face was a dead giveaway. Waverly looked her dead in the eyes and said "Well I wouldn't be opposed to calling me baby."
Nicole suddenly felt extremely intoxicated and nodded. "Okay," she said, kissing the smaller girl's forehead. "I can do that for you, Baby." Waverly suddenly felt like she never liked anything more than the way that sounded coming out of her mouth. "And by the way, I totally do relationships." She told her getting up off the couch. "Now will you please show me where the bathroom is? I have to pee." She told her with a giggle. "Gladly, Nicole replied, taking her hand and leading her inside.
