Nicole woke up the next morning with Waverly Earp wrapped around her like a spider monkey. There was no way she would be able to even move without waking up the still sleeping girl. Not that she was upset about it. After all, there's not much of a cuter sight as seeing her girlfriend fully asleep and at peace with the world.
She laid there thinking about the upcoming tour. She really didn't want to leave. She'd become so used to seeing the smallest Earp, and hell even the oldest one every day. She can't imagine ever doing it again. She was going to have to make a plan, and fast. She must've been tensing up because suddenly she heard a sleep filled voice speaking in to her neck that was currently being snuggled.
"Baby, you're thinking too loud." The tiny girl said, slowly unwrapping herself from the taller one. Nicole leaned down and gave her a quick kiss on the nose. "Sorry love. Did I wake you?" Waverly shrugged a little. "Only when you started to squeeze me a little bit too tight." She said with a laugh. "Sorry," Nicole told her apologetically. "I didn't realize I was doing it." Waverly took her hand and kissed it. "It's okay. It's didn't hurt or anything, and I needed to get up anyways. Wynonna will be wanting coffee when she wakes up and she's not gonna have a single clue how to make it out here," she said with a laugh.
Waverly and Nicole both got dressed for the day and made their way out to the fire pit. Nicole had the other girl prep the coffee while she gathered what was needed for a small fire.
This is nice, she thought to herself. I've missed the smell of nature. All the trees and the water. Hell even the smell of the dirt.
She smiled to herself as she watched her girlfriend rustling around trying to quietly go about getting stuff ready for her sister. Nicole knew first hand that if people thought a sober Wynonna was bad, you definitely didn't want to see her without coffee.
Around the time the fire was finally going, Waverly came over and began hanging the pot over the open flame to get the water boiling. It would take a little bit so Nicole sad down in her chair but then she noticed the brunette running to the tent only to return with her backpack in hand.
"Whatcha got there Waves?" She asked and Waverly gave her a smirk. "I'll only tell you if you promise not to tell my sister. She can do anything she wants but if she catches me doing it, she'll have my ass." Nicole raised a brow. This would be interesting, she thought as she watched the girl rummage through her bag. She legit laughed when she saw what she had pulled out and had in her hands.
"Waverly Earp!" She whisper yelled as she tried to suppress the laugh that was trying to force it's way out of her mouth. "Is that what I think it is?" Waverly giggled as she handed it to Nicole. "Probably. I was saving it to share it with you if you wanted to." Nicole gave her a devilish grin. "Baby, I'm a rockstar. Of course I want to."
She put the joint to a burning coal that had jumped out of the pit and lit it. "I didn't see you as someone to partake though, not gonna lie." She said as she hit it a couple times and passed it to the girl who was now seated in her lap. "I don't do it very often. Mainly when I'm really stressed out or can't sleep, but I much prefer these over cigarettes. Those are just nasty." Waverly took a couple of puffs as well before passing it back to her girlfriend. Nicole laughed. She agreed with her there. "I used to do this all the time on tour, but I've been trying to be a good noodle when I'm around you," she told her which caused a giggle to erupt from the girl on her lap. "I mainly only do it with Nate, so feel privileged young lady." She took another drag and held the rollie to her girlfriend's mouth. Waverly hit it and gave a tiny, but squeaky cough. "I'm good on that for now," she said. "You can finish it or we can save it for later. Either way is fine." Nicole nodded and hit it one more time before giving the girl a gentle smack on her thigh signaling for her to get up. "I'll go put it in the ashtray in the truck. We can smoke it later."
Waverly got up so Nicole could go, and she went ahead and finished preparing the coffee. A few minutes later, she felt a set of arms wrap around her from behind. God she smells so good right now. Fuckin vanilla donuts would be amazeballs right now. She tilted her head back and leaned into the taller girl as she looked up at her. "Baby... I think I've got the munchies." Nicole laughed and pulled out a package of donuts. Waverly's eyes, though slightly heavy still with a tint of read, got really big like a kid on Christmas when she saw them. "Shit balls! I knew I loved you for a reason!" She said causing Nicole to laugh. "Yeah", Nicole replied. "Because I spoil your little Earp ass!" She leaned down and kissed the girl who currently had the biggest donut shoved in her face. Cute little shit, she thought to herself, and went to go pour herself some coffee.
