Chapter 11: Gossip

The following week was great for Taehyung and Jungkook. They hang out a lot with Jin in Taehyung's house. Taehyung was already at the University after Jin drove him there. Jin was currently in Jeon's company where he works. Jin is typing on his computer while having snacks.

"Guys, guys, do you guys want some tea?"

Suddenly, Jin's co-worker, Mindy came for a gossip. They were not that so busy and some of them were having lunch in their department.

"What is it this time, Mindy?" Kyle asked, shaking his head who was sitting beside Jin.

"Our CEO's youngest son will get married to Yun Seong this month. And we are all invited to that wedding to witness the marriage between them. Also, the wedding will happen in a big place because the media was allowed to film it. Isn't that so exciting?" Mindy giggled, she was in front of them, standing up.

"What's so exciting about that? I'm not going tho." Kyle sighed.

"Oh come on, we barely get to any occasion and this is the first time this will happen in Jeon's life and business. I mean, both came from wealthy families, that event will be huge." Mindy stated.

"Hah, I felt bad for the son tho. He will get married to a person he doesn't even love just because of his family's business to keep up their image." Adam joined the conversation and appeared behind Mindy.

"Shush, lower your tone, what if someone hears you?" Mindy said to Adam in a hushed tone.

"So what? I'm just telling the truth, besides, most of the marriages that happened in Jeon's family were because of business matters only. I wonder how they live without true love in their house, only money." Adam retorted shaking his head in disappointment.

"Well, that's how rich life works, what do you expect from a greedy family like theirs?" Kyle replied.

"Aish, you two always ruined my moment. I'm going there, I want to witness the marriage and maybe it's my chance to find the one for me." Mindy flipped her hair.

"What's the name of the youngest son of Mr. Jeon again?" Jin suddenly asked.

"It's Jungkook, don't you see his name? It was all over the media now since the wedding was announced." Mindy responded to his question.

"What do you think will happen if, for example, Jungkook is interested in someone, I mean, if he's in love with someone?" Jin inquired looking at her.

"What's with that question? Did you forget what happened to his first son? Jinhua experienced that situation, didn't he? But his parents makes his life worst and even his partner at that time.

He tried to deny the rumors about his wedding with his supposed-to-be bride but in the end, the person he loved ended up breaking his heart and their relationship came to an end.

And there is even a rumor that Mrs. Jeon threaten his girlfriend but the family denied it. But I'm not surprised if Mrs. Jeon did something to her. Do you see her situation? Her image was totally ruined in public and her family's business went bankrupt." Mindy shared a story.

"What? Didn't she die because of an accident after she found out that Jinhua will get married to someone?" Adam asked curiously.

"Aish, obviously, that will be the news coverage but there is a lot of evidence that she can't handle her life's situation because of what Jeon did to her and her family. She knew that she won't able to escape her life's misery because Jeon will surely do anything to ruin her that's why she decided to end her life thinking that's the only solution she can do to escape." Mindy told them.

"That so cruel" Kyle muttered.

Jin's hands were balled in a first when he heard that. He knew Jungkook's intention for his brother is nothing but to love him but there was no way he will let anyone hurt Taehyung. If he had to separate them, he will.

While Taehyung was currently walking in the hallway to find Jungkook, a guy suddenly bumped into him.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you." The guy apologized.

"It's okay" Taehyung replied because he doesn't get hurt.

"By the way, aren't you Kim Taehyung?" The guy asked looking at him.

"Ahm, yes, why did you ask?" Taehyung responded.

"Well, we both have the same schedule and it's really nice to see you in person. I didn't expect that you were so gorgeous like what they said." The guy complimented him out of nowhere.

"Oh, uhh, thank you, I guess?" Taehyung wasn't sure how he should respond to that.

"I'm Kim July, I'm happy to see you." July introduced himself and extend his hand for a handshake.

"Nice to meet you too." Taehyung shooked the guy's hand.

But he didn't even expect that July will pull his hand and peck the back of his hand. He was taken aback by his action and pulled out his hand.

"Sorry, that's my usual habit. My parents thought of me in that manner. I didn't mean to creep you out." July smiled, rubbing the back of his neck.

"I-It's okay, I'll go now, I have to go somewhere." Taehyung was about to leave but July held his wrist, stopping him from leaving.

"Wait, do you want to eat with me? It's our lunchtime so we can eat together if you want. I can also treat you." July said.

"No need, I'm with someone else today. You can just ask someone instead." Taehyung tried to take his wrist back but it seemed July intentionally tightened the grip around his wrist.

"I'm not interested in someone, besides, I think you will be more fun to hang out with." July smiled creepily.

Taehyung doesn't like the aura of July, he looks frightening rather than friendly.

"Maybe, you should let him go first. You are making him uncomfortable."

They both look where the voice came from and July knew he fucked up.
