Chapter 25: The Hatred Man

The classes ended and Taehyung still hasn't received any update about Jungkook. That's why he texted his Jin Hyung just in case Jungkook would at least update him if they would go home together or not. It's already dark, and few people surround him while he is waiting outside the gate of their University.

He's tapping his feet on the ground to ease down his anxiety and boredom. The people surrounding him get fewer and fewer until there's almost no one barely left. As he was looking down on the ground, he saw a pair of shoes appear in front of him. He immediately looked up, but his eyes widened in fear, and surprised to see the familiar man standing in front of him.

"It's been a while, my son."

Every hair in his skin stood up just after hearing his father's voice. He felt a chill sent to his trembling body while looking at him nervously. He was about to leave, but Taejoo put his hand on the side of Taehyung's head, blocking him from escaping, and Taehyung could feel something sharp pointed at his stomach.

"Don't you dare to escape and make a noise if you don't want me to create a hole in your stomach, do you understand?" Taejoo warned him, slowly pressing the tip of the knife on his stomach.

Taehyung frantically nodded his head, feeling fear engulfing his entire body. Tears started to form in his eyes, blurring his sight.

"Shush, don't cry, my baby, daddy won't hurt you. Daddy just wants to see you, okay?" his free hand touched Taehyung's cheeks, forcing Taehyung to look at him and even caressing his cheeks. "It's been a long time since the last time I've seen you, you know? You grew up so very well, as I expected of your Hyung, I'm sure he must have taken care of you. He's just like your mother, he would be a perfect mother if he was a girl. He's just like your mother and inherited a lot of her characteristics. That's why I like him." Taejoo's hand was now on Taehyung's neck, slightly putting pressure on it.

Tears fell off from Taehyung's eyes, he was shaking uncontrollably due to fear.

"What are you crying for? Did you miss your daddy so much? Is that why you are crying?" his hypocrisy is insane. "Aww, my precious baby, I'm sorry if it takes me way too long to come back. Your Hyung was persistent in putting me forever in jail. Don't worry, I'll make sure to punish him once we get back together, hm?" Taejoo smirked.

Taehyung shook his head aggressively; he didn't want that. He doesn't want to go back together with him; it would be hell if it happened once again.

"Shush, I knew it, I knew you're excited to be back in my arms, baby. I'll just complete my plan, and trust me, no one will separate us ever again; I promise you that." Taejoo's face was slowly getting closer to his space.

A phone suddenly rings; Taejoo seems to be annoyed by it, and he has to let go of his knife to answer the call. And Taehyung took that as a chance to knee him on his groin and Taejoo whimpered in pain. Taehyung then ran away back inside the University, not knowing if it would be his safe place or not. His cries could be heard in the hallway. He glanced behind him to check if his father was still following him, and he didn't see him. But when he turned around, he accidentally bumped into something strong causing him to collide on the floor.

"Taehyung, what's wrong?"

His fear washed away when he heard that voice. He looked up at Jungkook with teary eyes and cried loudly.

"What's wrong, love? Why are you crying?" Jungkook worriedly asked and crouched down in front of him.

Taehyung made a grabby hand out of nowhere, and Jungkook watched Taehyung suddenly become a little. His questions weren't answered, but he had no choice but to understand it in the meantime. He removed his coat, covering Taehyung with his coat, and lifted him up from the ground. Little Taehyung snuggled on his chest, seeming to be looking for comfort, and Jungkook gently caressed him. While doing that, Little Taehyung fell asleep but still sniffled.

"I don't have any idea why he became like that but he seemed to be afraid of something. I think he was running away before he bumped into you; he was panting that time." Jungkook told Jin when they were now in Jin's house with Taehyung asleep in the room.

"He was just like this when he was really afraid; it was his way to escape from reality, at least for some time." Jin retorted while looking at Little Taehyung.

"I'm sorry, I was busy at that time and my schedule just ended. I should have at least texted him that he could go home without me. I should have been there to protect him, I'm sorry." Jungkook felt guilty for some reason.

"It's okay, Jungkook, it's not your fault. Besides, he's not your responsibility so please don't blame yourself. I'm sure Taehyung would say the same thing if he heard you say something like that." Jin tried to comfort him.

"Still, it was my fault, he must have been waiting for me," Jungkook mumbled.

"It was also my fault; he had already texted me to pick him up since it seemed you were going to be late. But I was late to arrive because my shift just ended. So, don't take all the blame here, Jungkook. Once Taehyung was fine, we could ask him and we will resolve it." Jin smiled at him. "For now, let's not stress ourselves because we wouldn't get any answer about what really happened." he added.

Jungkook nodded his head; he couldn't get rid of the uneasy and guilty feelings in his heart. If he had rushed to go to Taehyung, this wouldn't have happened at all.
