It was 6:15. Kayli and I were rushing out the door, shoving suitcases and phone chargers into my mom's car. She offered to drive us so that I wouldn't have to leave my car at the airport. The airport was about 30 minutes from my house, so we had to hurry. Kayli was struggling to eat cereal and pack things up at the same time, and she ended up spilling milk on her sweatpants.

"Fuck!" She squealed and quickly covered her mouth because my mom was in the other room.

"Go change, now! We need to leave!" I shouted while wiping up the milk on the floor with a towel.

She darted up the stairs, then came down in a pair of ugly purple leggings. I eyed her choice of pants.

"What? You said to hurry! Don't judge me! I'll change later," she huffed and grabbed an orange juice pouch from the fridge.

"Mom, we're ready!" I yelled. She came into the garage with a camera strapped to her wrist.

"What is that for?" I asked.

"You two are going to London! I've got to take a before picture to post to my Facebook!" She exclaimed. I rolled my eyes, but smiled anyway.

"Oh god, I look like crap!" Kayli whined.

"Come on! WE HAVE TO GO," I shouted, pushing them to the car.

The ride to the airport was, thankfully, quick. Mom helped us with the luggage and passports, and we all jogged toward the entrance.

After getting us situated and taking dozens of pictures, my mom decided to leave and told us to call her as soon as we landed. We gave her a hug and she left us to fend for ourselves in the airport.

We went through customs and got our luggage onto the conveyer belt, which took forever. I had on some black Nike spandex running pants, and an oversized sweatshirt, so at least I was comfortable. I didn't bother putting on makeup this morning either. I just took a shower an threw my hair up in a messy bun after blow drying it.

Kayli kept grumbling about how ugly her purple leggings were and that she couldn't believe she forgot to change before putting her luggage onto the belt. They didn't look that bad, but it was a little weird seeing her in leggings of bright color.

We sat and waited for the plane to board. Finally, the bell dinged, and the lady announced that our flight was ready.

I have flown multiple times, so it wasn't a big deal to me, but Kayli was different. She had never been on a plane before, so when we took off, she squeezed her eyes shut and clutched the armrests until her knuckles went white. Once she calmed down, I turned on a movie to make the almost eight hour flight go by quicker.

A few hours later, most people were sleeping or watching movies. There wasn't much talking, besides a few people requesting for drinks. We were sitting in first class as a part of our prize, so it was new to me.

Kayli was watching some new Disney movie I hadn't seen yet, and I was reading 1984 by George Orwell. I had read it probably 20 times, but I love it. It's one of the best books I've ever read.

A few minutes later, Kayli tapped me on the shoulder.

"I think someone has a little infatuation with you," she raised her eyebrows and nodded towards the seat in front of me. There was no one there.

"What are you talking about?" I whispered.

"Just wait," she whispered back.

I kept watch on the seat in front of me, waiting for whatever it was she was talking about. Suddenly, a little blonde-haired boy popped up from behind the seat. When he realized I caught him in the act, his eyes widened, and he disappeared behind the seat.
