Pieces (Niall Horan Fanfic)

Chapter 3

We went through the doors to the art room where the pep squad and our friends were making posters the read "GO PATS!" in red, blue ,and silver.

We are the Mighty Patriots. A lame name to me but the school colors are pretty. I went over to Lylah and poked her in the cheek.

"Hey girly. Good job on the poster!" I complemented.

"Yeah it's alright. But it would have been way better if you had helped make it! You are SKILLED at drawing!" She exclaimed.

She's right. I love to draw on my free time. It's not my passion or anything like that but I can draw practically anything.

I have a sketchbook full of drawings that I've never showed anyone. I don't like complements and I kind of shy away from any complements towards me if you can't tell.

"Thanks but really this poster is great!

All you need now is a little glitter." I exclaimed.

"That's exactly what I was thinking!" Zac chimed in.

I grabbed the tube of silver glitter and sprinkled it over "PATS".

"Perfect! you always know what to do!" Yelled Kayli quite loudly.

I hid my reddening cheeks behind the sleeves of my lavender sweater. I needed to get out of there before more attention is drawn to me.

"Hey, I'm going to go see Daniel now. Later!"

"Remember if you feel like something's up just call!" Kayli yelled.

My cheeks reddened even more.

"Yes mom!" I joked back.

I found my way to the field where Daniel usually hangs out with the other football players during Free Rec Hour. I spotted him with his best friend Luke. I came up behind him and kissed him on the cheek.

He hesitated before saying "Hey Carrie".

I wonder why he hesitated? It almost seemed like he wanted to make sure it was me before he said anything. Weird... Maybe I should forget it. I'm probably just being paranoid.

"What's up?" I asked him.

"Well we were just talking about the upcoming game tomorrow. You know your friend Zac seems really into helping the pep squad with our posters" he snickered as Luke laughed.

"You know that's not nice. He can't help who he is. Why do you pick on him so much?" I asked.

"It isn't natural and its funny that he is in love with all of us. Why are you so uptight? You just need to be normal and laugh a little!" Daniel said a bit harshly.

"I'm not uptight!".

"Fine, fine you aren't uptight." He laughed but I could see he was lying.

I sat there with my arms crossed and my lip poked out. He took the opportunity to kiss me.

He slid his tongue into my mouth without asking for entrance.

I don't like it when he does that but I have learned to live with it.

The kiss began to get quite heated. Don't think I forgot Luke was still there because I didn't. I was feeling extremely awkward so I backed away from the kiss.

"Babe what's wrong? I was totally into that." Daniel said hungrily, running a hand through his dirty blonde hair.

"Sorry but I'm not making out with you in front of people." I said, peeking at Luke.

"You heard her Luke. Leave." Daniel said with that dark lust in his eyes.

I'm not fond of that look. As Luke left Daniel grabbed my waist and pushed me down.

"Where were we?" He then attacked my lips again, his tongue immediately slipping into my mouth exploring it hungrily.

His hand trailed down to the hem of my sweater and then slipped under it. As he kissed me harder, I started feeling... off.

Why was he being so rough with me when he new I didn't like it and we were on school grounds too.

As his hand went for my bra clasp, I immediately pushed him away.

"No." I said sternly getting up.

"What? Your no fun. I want to be your first." He said defensively.

"Well that may be but I don't want my first to be on a football field at school. And you need to respect when I'm ready!" I said, getting up.

"Babe I'm sorry! Please forgive me?" He asked cutely.

"Alright. But if it happens again, sorries won't cut it," I stated as I helped him up too.

"Well I gotta go! I'll see you later!" Daniel said.

"Wait! Your not gonna walk me inside?" I asked disappointed.

"No babe. I'm, uh.. I'm late for something! Catch ya later." And with that he ran to the east end of the wall to the other side of the school.

Weird. Why has he been acting so strange lately.

I don't like it. Something is up, and I'm gonna figure it out.

I walked back inside to find Kayli.

I ran smack into her as soon as I opened the door.

"Hey! I was just going to look for you to make sure you were okay. Did I mention I don't trust Daniel? Because I don't." She said matter-of-factly.

"Yeah I know. I'm starting to get a bad feeling in my stomach for some reason." I said.

"Why? What did he do? You know you can tell me." She pleaded.

"Nothing. He's just been acting weird lately. It's almost like he meets up with somebody all the time.

And he also checked to see who I was when I kissed his cheek. He should know that it's me.

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but it's kind of strange right?" I asked.

"Do you think he's cheating?" Kayli asked me.

"No I don't think he'd do that to me. Would he? I don't even know anymore.." I said sadly.

"Well all I can say is, don't trust him until you can prove its nothing, okay?

I don't want my best friend getting hurt." She said.

"Okay. I'll watch out for him."

"Good. I'll make sure to keep an eye on him too. More than usual.."

"Haha thanks Kayli bug. Love you!" I told her.

"Love you too! See you after school!"

I walked to my Physical Science class and took a seat waiting for the clock to tick to 3:40 so I could get my butt out of here to think out my situation with Daniel.

Kayli had other plans though.

****A/N: Hey guys! Just to let you know, I'm American so football in this fanfic is the sport that you throw the ball with your hand and has quarterbacks and tackling and stuff. (I don't know much about football if you haven't noticed lol)
