"Wh-what?" I asked, flabbergasted. I could not believe this is happening to me.
"Innocent." A voice in the corner said. As he walked out of the shadows, I stood there in amazement. He was about 6'3, with salt and pepper hair and tan skin. But his eyes looked like they held the galaxy. Power radiated from him in waves, and immediately I bowed, Nico following my lead.
"WHO DARES ENTER MY THRONE ROOM! RICHARD! EXECUTE HIM!"
"That won't be necessary, Thunder Thighs, I'm just here for a chat, being the lord of the universe and all." Everyone bowed at that, but by that time Nico and I were already standing. We were in complete awe of him, and he returned our looks with a warm smile.
"My Lord Chaos, what brings you here?" My favorite goddess, Hestia, asked.
"Hello, I have come to have a word with these two heroes here, will the rest of you give us some privacy, except Hestia, Hades, Hermes, Demeter, Aphrodite, and Apollo. The rest of the gods and the camp left, probably to return shortly.
"Hello children, I have come to aid your escape. I need you to survive on your own for a few weeks until I can bring you to Utopia. Plus, you will meet up with Thalia, she was kicked out of the Hunt for no reason. Is that alright?"
"Th-that's awesome, thank you, milord."
"Please, I don't like formalities. These are the gods and goddesses that want to help, and believe, scratch that, know that you are innocent. They come bearing gifts."
Hermes was up first. "Perseus, you are the greatest swordsman and demigod to ever live, and you remembered my son as a hero, and convinced others of that too when you could have taken all the fame. For that, I give you a few gifts." He blasted me with a white/grey beam of energy. "You now obtain speed to rival mine and lying so believable that it would convince Apollo. I also give you the gift of thievery and cunning. May peace be with you."
"Thank you, you don't know what your words mean to me." He nodded and backed away, a content look on his face.
Demeter was next. "Percy, you eat cereal and other grains, and treat my children with respect, even after what they did to you. I will have a little chat with them." She grumbled the last part. She blasted me with a green beam of light. "You may now summon vines, and summon any food that is grain-based."
"Thank you milady, this will prove extremely useful. That was very generous of you." She nodded.
Apollo was next. "Perce! You are an awesome cousin, and you remembered my children well. Lee and Michael looked up to you, and I do too. You are a great swordsman, but terrible with a bow." He shot with me with a beam of white/yellow energy. "You now have medical knowledge, extreme accuracy with any type of ranged or throwing weapon (throwing knives, javelin, throwing a trident or a spear), and extreme skill with a bow, and you can detect a lie from a truth. You may have to work with the bow for a bit for your blessing to surface."
"Thanks, cuz, I hope I get to see you again someday."
"Me too, Perce, me too." He said, a bit sad after remembering that this was goodbye.
Next was Hestia. "Perseus, you, along with Nico, recognized me. You are pure of heart, and you are extremely humble and modest." She shot Nico and me with a beam of orange energy. "You both can now summon and engulf yourself in fire and greek fire, and summon homecooked meals. Nico, I also gave you the power to fill others with hope, and to become more hopeful yourself." I snorted inside, 'cause Nico could be a bit depressing at times.
"Thank you milady." Nico and I said at the same time, our voices filled with care.
Next up was Hades. "Perseus, you recognized and gave my children home at camp. You made sure others treated them with respect, and I do not blame you one bit for my daughter's death. Nico, you are by far my favorite child, especially now that HAzel partook in Percy's betrayal." He shot us with a dark grey beam of energy. "Perseus, you may now do anything a child of Hades can do, and Nico, I have made you more in touch with your powers, as long as giving you powers from my Roman counterpart, Pluto, like some domains over the Earth, precious metals, and control over the mist."
"Thank you, milord. I sincerely hope that you and Hestia get your rightful places on Olympus." I said and meant it.
Next was Aphrodite. I sort of had a bad feeling about this. "Perseus, your love for your family and friends is never-ending. I admire your loyalty. What they did to you was horrible, and I hope that you find others to share your love with." She shot me with a beam of pink light. I looked down at myself. I know others have said I looked like a god, but now, I looked like a primordial. I was even more chiseled, but still lean and not gross like Hercules. I had an 8-pack, and I could tell that all my body parts were more defined. I looked around, and even Hestia was drooling at me. I noticed that Nico got taller too, but I didn't pay much attention to the rest of him. I don't really swing that way. "Perseus, along with your sudden, uh, enhancement, you now have the ability of slight charm speak, and you can summon any type of clothes you want, whenever." She said, adding a peck on my cheek, causing me to slightly blush. It wasn't every day that you got kissed by the goddess of love and beauty.
"Thank you, milady. I appreciate your generous gift."
Chaos came up to us. "Perseus, you are the best here to walk the Earth. Hell, even the galaxy. I have grown fond of you, and have watched everything you have gone through. Plus, I enjoy your sass, for I have a sassy side myself. Sadly, my name doesn't work well with the word, so no nickname for me." He said with a small pout.
"I noticed, by the way, I like the nickname for Zeus."
"Oh yes, I'm not so fond of him or the gods here, except the ones present, of course."
"I stick to Zeusy, or Zeusy-Woosy, or Drama Queen. I noticed he gets ticked off at those the most." Nico snorted, and the other gods including Chaos chuckled.
"If that is all, I will transport you two to a large pond in the woods in Virginia. There is an empty cabin just south of there. And you will also meet Thalia. I have blessed her with more control over air and wind, like her brother. Keep in mind, there will be a lot of monsters. I will pick you up and three weeks and explain why then. Ta ta!"
And with that, the world faded to black.
