Percy POV
I heard a horn blow louder than usual, waking both Jess and me up. Using my time power s I knew that it was about 2:34 AM, meaning that there was an attack. I quickly pecked Jess on the cheek and ran out of the room while tapping my left pec, activating my armor. I grabbed my scythe, deciding that I would use it instead of my sword. I ran to the top of the hill, finding my team still getting out of the cabin. There were about 300 monsters, so I began, hoping to finish before anyone could get there. I quickly began, using my super speed and invulnerability to pulverize the enemies. Some were demigods, so I quickly knocked them out. Oceanus was there, holding an ocean blue spear. I walked up to him, in no mood to talk, and began to circle him. This is what my teammates called 'work mode', where I just basically don't talk and just fight. AS we circled, Oceanus picked up the hint that I was not messing around, so I would not talk. By now the whole camp had been woken up to the painful screams my enemies gave out when I gave them painful deaths. I made a pulling motion on my caduceus tattoo, activating my shield. I put the scythe away, then pulled out a sunny golden spear, emitting light from the sun's very essence. The scythe was giving off a white/grey light while the spear looked like the sun but a bit dimmer with a bit more gold. Apollo blessed me with ranged weapons, so I can pull out any kind from the sun tattoo. The campers gazed on at the sight, two warriors circling each other, surrounded by mounds and mounds of golden dust, with a few barely conscious demigods laying on the ground.
I surged forward, swinging my spear in an upward strike, pondering whether to use strength or speed in this battle, knowing I will only need one. The speed of my first attack caught him off guard, putting him in a bad defensive position, and the strength of the attack took advantage of that, pushing him back a few yards. He relied on his powers, summoning a small wave out of nowhere and hurling at me. I immediately froze it in place using my water powers while using my shield and surging forward to hit him in the side of the head, which he barely managed to bring up his spear in time to block it. The blunt force of the hit crippled his strength causing the spear to whack him in the head instead, though with less power. While dazed, I froze the water and ran up to it using my super speed, then using one foot to find a hold on the frozen wave, pushing me off into a backflip. When I landed, I turned around and thrust my spear into his back, puncturing his lungs. He exploded into golden dust, and the campers stood there in awe of all that I have accomplished, while my team just stood there like this happened every day, which it practically does on our missions.
I went up to Apollo and Hermes, who was standing beside each other. "Thanks for the gifts guys. Pretty nifty." I joked.
"Anytime bro. Good to know they are put to good use. We should race sometime." Hermes said.
"I would gladly take you up on that offer it wasn't 2:37 AM. Another time?" He nodded.
"Are we just going to ignore the fact that he just took out 300 monsters and a strong titan in a matter of 3 minutes??" Apollo asked, flabbergasted.
I shrugged it off. "I'm gonna head back to bed, goodnight bros." We said goodnight, and I walked back to my cabin with Jess in my arms, already asleep. The campers gave me weird looks, some in awe, some in confusion. Probably from the chat I had with two gods in front of everybody, not to mention we acted like close friends, and they don't know we actually are. I set Jess down and then crawled in next to her, and we immediately acted like magnets wrapping our arms around each other, her burying her face in my chest, while mine went to her hair. We dozed off together, glad that we were in each other's presence.
