Champion of Chaos

Chapter 8

Jess POV

When Chaos showed us everything that has happened to Percy, his whole past, I couldn't help but feel terrible. The boy I saw on the misty screen was handsome, kind, sweet, humble, modest, and pretty hot. When we talked, I just couldn't help but develop a crush. But I haven't dared to show it. I'm just, me. There is nothing special about my features, and Percy could get anybody, why would he go to me. Two years ago, I kissed him on the cheek, while showing him around. We were both red after hugging for a long time, but I just thought he might have been cold, which explains the long hug and the red skin. He'll never like me, I'm just not special.

Percy POV

Jess is amazing. Jess is gorgeous. Jess is sweet. Jess is funny. Jess is beautiful. Jess is caring. Jess is there for me.

I. Love. Jess.

How could I not? After she kissed me on the cheek, she kinda distanced herself away from me. She still comforts me at night when I have another nightmare, and sometimes stays. But there is no way she could ever like me. I have too many problems. She could have anybody in the universe, why would she choose me?

Nico POV

"Holy Styx! When will those two get together?!" Thalia yelled.

We had a meeting. A secret meeting, that we never invite Jess or Percy to. Guess what we do?

We plan, and try to get them together, but they are too oblivious. I talked to Percy about it, and Thalia talked to Jess. They both like each other but are too afraid to tell the other. They both think they aren't good enough for the other, and really have low self-esteem when it comes to this. We have a month off, because Chaos is awesome, and is sending lower ranks in the Army to complete our missions. I should explain our powers.

Becca- More powerful version of Khione, Power of Ice and Snow.

Raze- A more powerful version of Ares/Mars, Power of War, Violence, Battle Strategy (Given to him by Chaos), skill with all weaponry, shapeshifting.

Thalia- More powerful version of Zeus/Jupiter, Power of Lightning, Air and Winds, Storms. Can summon eagles and talk to them. 3rd in Command

Me (Nico)- More powerful version of Hades/Pluto, Power over the dead, precious metals, earth, shadows, and fire (Normal and Greek, given by Hestia). 2nd in Command

Luke- More powerful version of Hermes, Power of speed, thievery, lies (Only Percy can tell if it is true or not), cunning, and medicine. 5th in Command

Jess- Slightly less powerful than Nyx, Power of suffering, illness, dreams, misfortunes, quarrels, war, murder, sleep, and death. Retrieved Shadows from Erebus.

Silena- More powerful version of Aphrodite, Power over love (though she only uses it in battle, to turn tides), extreme charm speak, change her looks, and skill with a dagger. 

Beckendorf- More powerful version of Hephaestus, power of fire, forge, blacksmithing, metalworking, masonry, and can converse and control automatons, even if they aren't his (given to him by Chaos).

Zoe- Same power level as Atlas, slightly less powerful than Artemis, power over strength, can contract energy from stars, occasionally do star blasts (take a lot of energy), wildlife, archery, and moons (from Artemis).

Michael- He and Lee combined are more powerful than Apollo, apart they are on the same power level. Power over medicine and medical procedures, truth (not to storing though),  prophecy, poetry, and disease. The Medic.
