I am going to propose to her.

When you have a life like mine, you don't get to live as long. I want to live every year to the fullest. Every year with my wise girl. I want to be with her for the rest of my life. I hope she feels the same way.

Obviously, I had to get approval from Athena. Now, I know she hated me before, but she hates me even more now. I thought that by not only getting permission to marry Annabeth, I would also come to good terms with my soon-to-be mother in law. Boy was I wrong.

She wanted me to fail! Every time I completed one of the tasks, she looked displeased, not at my performance, but at the fact that  I passed the tests, she so desperately wants me to fail at.

But I did it. And I am happy I did. I'm not going to propose right away, I'll probably wait a week or two, even though I have no clue how I am going to be able to hold out that long.

Walking up Half-Blood Hill, I am feeling overjoyed at the fact I am back at camp again.

"Where've you been?" Nico asks, popping out of nowhere.

"Holy Styx! Don't do that again death breath! And if you must know, I have been with milady Athena, getting permission to marry Annabeth."

"Wow man, good on you! Can I be a groomsman?"

"Of course Neeks, I wouldn't have it any other way. And what is all this sudden joy about? Is this because of a certain Daughter of Zeus?"

"Shut up! Why do I even bother with you and your kelp filled head? You know she is a maiden!" He asked, ending the last sentence queitly, almost as if he didn't want it to be true. He also didn't forget to add a punch to my arm.

I was about to respond sarcastically, when a shrill scream, most likely a 5-year-old girl or an Aphrodite camper, or both, came from below the hill. Nico and I ran down into action, immediately knowing where this was about to go.

And, lo and behold, a 16 kid with black hair and sea-green eyes, screaming at the top of his lungs and running for his life (which wasn't very fast, he didn't look like an athletic kid) from a baby hellhound, barely reaching up to my knee.

I jumped in, while Nico was laughing, filming with his phone that Leo made him, to kill the baby hellhound. One swipe, using little to no effort at all, and all that was left was a tiny pile of gold dust on the grass, already getting picked up by the calm breeze. I suddenly received a kick in the back, and I dropped my sword due to the surprise. I could feel the whole camp watching from atop the hill, where they were staring in awe at the new guy.

"I'm Richard Hayes, and I just killed a Hydra and a pack of 30 hellhounds while this guy got his ass whooped by a baby one." No way in hell is anyone going to believe that. And how did he know about the monsters anyway?

Sure enough, there was a way in hell that anyone is going to believe that because a lot of people did. Thankfully Nico jumped in,

"That's not what happened, I have a video! There was only a baby hellhound and Percy had to kill it!" Good ol' Neeks.

Many 'Stop trying to steal the spotlight!' and 'You're lying' were voiced throughout the group, but thankfully the seven looked skeptical, but that still stung a little.

I felt a warm green glow above me, and 1. I realized that I was still on the ground taking this new kids shit, and 2. He just so happens to be my half-brother.

"Bow to me! Richard Hayes, the greatest and most powerful demigod to ever live!" And to my surprise, everyone listened to him, staring at him in awe. I decided to get a bit of revenge.

I swiped his leg off my chest and out fro under him with my hand, effectively making his face fall first onto the dirt. I stood up, brushed the dirt off my shoulders dramatically, took my sword out of his hands, and walked back to camp, feeling the glares of the campers on my back.

I am not looking forward to this summer.
