~~Lucifer~~
I and Diavolo met forever ago. Back when we had first encountered one another in the Celestial realm I had refused to even shake his hand...Fast forward a while and with my fall from grace, I felt I was without any other choice than to become his obedient servant-so I did. I can't say it was something I regretted however I did miss those days when I was adored by all of the heavenly realms, being given gifts left and right not even daring to pity any soul I thought was poor enough to end up as a Demon.
Yet here I was now marching silently through the halls following a red ribbon tied delicately around my finger towards the one person my heart truly longed for. The Ribbon was nothing new as it had sat on my ring finger for the last what was it? Much over 2000 years surely (time is a tricky concept when you're immortal).
Despite the fact I was a demon now I must have still counted as some sort of angel (fallen or not) because the ribbon only showed for whoever I loved more than anything.
I swiftly turned the corner to another long corridor and set my sights on the large oak-was it oak? It was probably oak. Scratch that it was most definitively oak- doors that were lined with a gold pattern. My boots heels clicked against the marble floors that were constantly kept in pristine condition making the only noise anyone could hear.
I held the papers close to my chest as I stride forward with as much confidence as I could fake while gazing at the gold decorated walls-Diavolo had exquisite taste. I'm sure if he were to hear of my anxiousness he would laugh and tell me I'm silly for getting scared over such a small thing as a simple interaction that seemed to make me feel slightly better.
I reached out a gloved hand gently taking the doorknob into my grasp hesitating slightly-and taking a breath- before turning it and pushing it open.
Before I was the only heir to the Devildom, his desk littered with papers that he seemed too rushed to stack neatly like I usually did. He bit the end of his pen softly his fangs peeking from behind his lips feverishly scanning whatever was written across his files with the speed you would not expect possible even from an immortal being. His hair was messed up with the look that only countless hours of running his hands could have done.
Not seeming to have noticed my intrusion I cleared my throat quietly. Golden orbs shot up at me looking me over once...and another again this time slightly slower. He removed the pen from his mouth slightly embarrassed and fixed his hunched posture(I would have to make a mental note that it seemed he winced slightly while straightening out leading to two conclusions: He must have either been at work in such a position for longer that healthy and/or I would have to tell Barbatos to schedule him a massage or "spa day" as the prince liked to call it.)
"Lucifer! What can I do for you?" Honeyed words seemed to roll off his tongue like silk."I'm so sorry to intrude especially when you must be busy however I have some documents I would appreciate you made sure were in order."I brought my hand forward handing them to him after he nodded.
He looked over each word with a blank expression seemingly unreadable as always."You never disappoint, do you?"He handed them back regaining his bright smile(one that faded back into stress) "Perfect as always." With such simple prise, my ego flowered. Something I would never tire of was having the demon prince flatter me in such ways.
"Well, that was all I had to go over with...I shall take my leave now." I took the packet of papers ready to retire for the day."Wait, Lucifer!" The way he said my name sent shivers up my spine- such a melodic voice...Deep and smooth."Yes?"I asked
"Before you leave what do you think of these?" he shuffled the paper into a pile and handed them forward to me. I gently grabbed them with one hand revising."Do you wish to host a party?... Next week?!" I saw him nod in my peripheral vision."You might actually pull it off though..."I read further noticing how remarkable his plans were laid out."Yes, I know that but would you attend?"The future prince questioned in an eager tone that I couldn't decode."Of course. Anything you invite me to I will always attend."I saw his face light up with the shine of a thousand suns which almost made me forget about the load of paperwork I would have to finish before attending. I handed back his work as his face notably changed to one of happiness."I should get back to the Hall of Lamentation now."I bowed slightly before exiting- and once the oak doors behind me shut I let myself smile lightly.
Back at the House of Lamentation, I grabbed what was leftover from tonight's dinner I specifically asked for them to stop Beel from eating all of.
I walked the halls peeking into several empty rooms before finally finding Beel, Mammon, and Levi sitting together playing what looked to be some sort of human-world game to win what looked to be a pile of snacks. I pushed the door open and everyone looked up at me."I have some news! A week from now Diavolo will be holding a party at the palace- you will all be there without exception." I was met with two disgusting expressions."Oi, we're busy here can't you tell???" Mammon asked squinting his eyes at me as if I were the crazy one."But you know about my anxiety- and I have anime to watch"Levi panicked over the thought of interacting with others."It's only 250 people incredibly small Levi- not to mention you are free to record any shows you wish." I stated as Beel fiddled with the brightly coloured cars in his hand looking to ask something."Yes, there will be food made by Barbatos." I sighed not needing to ask. I saw him beam brightly before I swiftly headed off to check the other rooms.
I knew the probability of Satan being in the library was likely but was surprised to see Asmo as well as gossiping to Satan as he smirked reading his book. I swiftly walked forward keeping my composure as I saw Belphie curled up on a couch near the fire."Oh! Luci~ You wouldn't believe me about the size of Solomons di-" I cut him off not wanting to know in the slightest"Asmodeus" I glared as he pouted. and silenced himself."A week from today you're all attending Diavolo's party. Youll need to have an outfit ready I will not be taking no for an answer."I saw Satan grimace at the thought"I don't wish to attend some gathering thrown by your boyfriend."I felt my eye twitch."Me either"Belphie said in his sleep as Satan shut his book with a single hand."Do not imply such things of your Prince and me...There shall be no exceptions no matter what it is you say."At least now I get to wear my new outfit" Asmo hummed at the thought. I heard an incoherent grumble from Satan and with that, I left to sleep.
As soon as I entered my room my phone buzzed on cue with a text from Diavolo."Sleep we'll Lucifer. Don't forget to not overwork yourself"
I felt a small smile betray me creeping onto my face."You as well my Lord"
And with that simple remark, I headed to sleep
Ayo soo this took way too long to update and I'm sorry about that but I swear there's more don't leave yet-
