Boom accompanied Mew to the town's office where he returned his and Gulf's cleaning tools.
"How come Gulf made a tourist return this?" he heard one of the staff say.
"I know! He's really shameless." The other shook her head as they recorded it on their system.
Mew wanted to say that he volunteered to do so, but the staff were already entertaining the next person.
Boom, who didn't know who Gulf was didn't find this insulting at all. Like the old times, he threw his arm around Mew's shoulder, which is proving to be difficult now. Mew had gained a couple of inches' height since they last saw each other.
"I really can't believe it's you!" he said for the nth time today. "How long since you've been here? You could've added me on facebook or something."
"Sorry, I don't check social media that much, but later I will." He said. It felt nice to see an old friend.
"Plenty has changed, don't you agree? Remember that eatery and convenience store we used to visit? It's now a school. And that park we used to bike at? Now a-"
"Night market. We saw it the first time we arrived." Mew finished.
"Tell you what, let's go home to catch-up. Can you still remember the way?"
Mew does. Boom lives just outside the village and he felt stupid not to visit sooner. He agreed.

He spent dinner time at their place. Back when they were teenagers, they would also spend the time here after school or else do projects at their yard. Mew can see that like his own house, Boom's almost didn't change too except for the fact that he now has a younger sister.
"She was born when I was 18!" he shook his head as he brushed her sister's hair. "Sometimes they think she's my daughter. What about you huh? Do you have your own family now?"
"Nah man, I'm single." He said. "You?"
"Recently got into a relationship." He grinned. "How's your family? Are they here with you?"
"My parents are in the states. They're so busy and couldn't take the time off. I'm with my friend and cousin, but they went to Bangkok and will be returning a couple of days from now.
Boom nodded and sat her sister beside him. "How's Kana?"
"Kana?"
"You said you're with your cousin? I thought you guys weren't going to bring him?"
"Oh. I meant... a different cousin. From my dad's side." He said.
"Ah. Sorry. I thought..."
"Now that you mentioned him. Do you have any news about him?"
