Their last night in Chiang Mai is solely dedicated to attending the yearly lantern festival. All of them excitedly joined the number of locals who held their giant lanterns. It illuminated their faces as they wrote their wishes on it. Straightening up, they released it together with the other ones and they watched as it floated above their heads.

"That is beautiful!" Third exclaimed, a smile plastered on his face.

"We must come back next year. I'd like to do this again." Singto said.

Mew who was standing behind them smiled as he stared at Gulf's face. It was reflecting the hundreds of lanterns in the sky, and none of his icy demeanor could be seen. Not far behind them, Bright was observing the two.

Gulf had told him that he was finally ready to let go of the past. While Bright wants to hear this, his suspicion that Mew might like Gulf more than a cousin is getting stronger. He had no qualms whatsoever about Gulf forgiving Mew, after all, that's what he likes – for Gulf to move on.

But... at the back of his mind, he can't help thinking...

You'll forgive him that fast?

He was torn between being happy for Gulf and letting Mew have his way this easy. Because he can feel that Mew has a crush on Gulf... and he doesn't like it at all.

He had been a better brother and friend to Gulf and he hates seeing him worried and sad. What has Mew done in Gulf's life except bring him stress and suffering? He now hates his own advice that forgiveness is the way to go.

After all... Gulf is all that he has, and his own greatest fear was getting left behind.

"Why am I even worried?" he asked himself. "They only have a few days left before they leave Thailand anyway."
