"You done writing, dork?" Bakugo joked. He used to be his bully, but he's been much better since Deku became an orphan.
"Hehe, yeah." he playfully punched the latter's' shoulder, before putting his notebook away and stood up. The two gathered their things, and continued deeper into the forest.
Hours passed, the sky grew darker. They were gonna have to set up camp here for now. And though it wasn't the best place to rest, the scenery was definitely new to them. Glowing water and odd crystals everywhere; it was very pretty. Mesmerizing, really. The two found an open spot near a cliff, and decided on setting up there for now. As the two lay down, Bakugo could tell that something was wrong with his friend. So, like any normal person, he tried to find out what it was;
(B is Bakugo, D is Deku)
B:Oi Deku, you alright?
D:Oh uhm-yeah, why do you ask?
B:Don't play dumb with me. I know you're upset when you stutter.
D:oh...right. You know me too well, huh?
B:Damn right. So tell me what's wrong, is it about that book?
D:Well yeah...for the most part.
B:The....'most part'-
D:Cuz like; just think about it; my own mom was a witch! Don't you think that's cool?
B:I mean yeah but-
D:And she had this old spell book too! I've never seen anything like it! It had all these cool gems on the side, and this weird writing,
B:Deku, we-
D:I don't even know if she speaks it! But I can't open it, I think we need the wand for some sort of key? Well, either way; we're gonna find it-
B:Deku!
D:.....yeah?
B:Two things. One; you really need to stop mumbling. I mean, it's cool if you do it sometimes, but this is just fucking ridiculous.
D:Oh...right.
B:Two; we need to get to bed. Look around, Deku. It's fucking pitch black here other than those weird ass crystals.
D:Ah...s-sorry, Kacchan.
B:It's fine; we'll talk more about this tomorrow. G'night, nerd.
D:Goodnight, Kacchan.

The next day, the two woke up bright and early to continue their search. They evidently didn't talk about the book more, which neither of them knew why. They knew that it wouldn't be long until someone's coming to the woods for a search. And somebody would bring them back to the village. Back to their bland, uneventful lives. But they didn't lose hope. The boys kept on searching for the haunted academy. In fact, they weren't even scared.
But that feeling didn't go away for Deku. He knew that there was something-maybe even someone-watching them. It started to get to Bakugo, too.
"Hey uh...you think someone else's here?" the blonde asked, earning a scared nod from Deku. "H-Hopefully, they're nice?" he nervously replied.
'Maybe we should go back....' he thought.
Wait. No, he can't think of that. He had to find out if the rumors were true, or at the least; he had to know what Inko's book does.
He gathered all his courage, and kept on walking.
